    Really starting to get discouraged about 2012. Trying to be patient, but I'm losing that battle.

    I was there on Wednesday night for a while. Met Larry Bowa and chatted with Tim Kurkjian briefly. Also saw Tommy Lasorda, Jack McKeon, Bobby Valentine, Harold Reynolds, John Kruk, Peter Gammons, Ken Rosenthal, Karl Ravech, Paul Sullivan, etc. As I was walking out I saw a big group of reporters crowding around someone. I walked up to the pile of people and it was Scott Boras giving a little impromptu press conference. I ended up getting a few feet away from him. I wish I would have gone out Monday & Tuesday night. I heard there was more action then. A co-worker saw Andre Dawson and Theo Epstein those nights.

    Not quite the same scenario. Rose is from Chicago and grew up a Bulls fan. LeBron is from Akron (I know it's in the Cleveland area but they view it differently there) and did NOT grow up a Cavs fan. Plus, LBJ is a bitch and DRose is not.

    Rip is starting tonight. And this one is on the NBA League Pass, albeit in standard definition. I'll probably watch a bit while the Blackhawks are at commercials/intermission.

    It's on WGN if you're in the Chicago area. It's also on NBA League Pass (free preview from now to Jan 8th) I'm not seeing any games on League Pass.

    Why the [expletive] does the NBA black out pre-season games? [expletive] stupid.

    Not sure if it still is, but I bought it a while back. I was actually in the CF bleachers for that game. I was a little drunk and kept yelling at everyone that we were going to make a comeback. They laughed and laughed until we actually did. Wrigley was nuts that day. So much fun. We kept chanting "SIX-RUN-SEV-ENTH" over & over after the game. Great stuff.

    I'd be very disppointed if we haven't even discussed the possiblity of signing Fielder with him and/or Boras.

    Marion Barber was probably high during the Denver game. I bet he's on the list.

    The KC game is not completely on Barber, but his stupidity cost us a TD in a game we lost by 7 points. Roy also dropped a TD pass that hit him in the [expletive] hands. Barber's stupidity also cost us the Denver game. I'm not sure how you can dispute that. Sure there are other plays that could have won those games for us, but you can't deny that he has had a major hand in the Bears last two losses which has killed our playoff hopes.

    You're Marion Barber hatred is amusing. Considering he had a major part in blowing the last 2 games which is going to keep us out of the playoffs, how am I supposed to feel towards him?

    I've got that DVD set. Well worth the $40 in my opinion.

    I started going to Cubs games in the late 70's, but I was still pretty young then. From my recollections (probably moreso the early 80's) it was always a McDonald's. We'd get food there and then take it into Wrigley to eat while we watched BP.
