At the very least he's proven to be a respectable major leaguer as he can rake it against lefties and play above average defense at a premium position. If he can at least improve well enough to hit decent against righties he's a solid everyday major league starter yep. he's done everything i could have asked for and more. solid player w room for improvement.

I see 87 consistently. At his peak last year he would occasionally scrape 90-91 but sat in the 88-89 range I believe he'll get back to 90 come playoff time. kyle is smart enough that he's treating the rest of this regular season like spring training and building up arm strength without overdoing it before the playoffs. in the meantime he's just toying around with new strategies and possibly creating a brand new pitch. he probably wrote a peer reviewed article about it this weekend in his free time. heady move for sure.

There's no need to exalt Joe West while Bucknor and Hernandez still have jobs. He's not special I personally consider CB's strike zone to be the worst now that Froemming is gone Agreed. But West's stupid fat face closes the gap fast. Esp when CB has not umpired a Cubs game in a while (disclaimer: he may have and I just missed it but I feel this is accurate so I'm going with it)

He had 2B so stolen on the 0-1 pitch but Javy fouled it off. They had a running play on most of the time he was on 1B ah. if he was running on the pitch then that's a different story but they never said that on-air that i heard

To be fair, awful awful bunt Quintana oh for sure. but, you'd still hope heyward could pick up the ball quicker than that. he was damn near halfway to second when it was caught.
