  1. Who the hell was recalled? DK maybe? Not Hubbard please.
  2. It's official according to BBTN, Patterson to the minors.
  3. That catch tonight was amazing. Just incredible. The show afterwards was even better. His range as an actor is almost as great as his range in the field.
  4. hahahahahaha on the plus side, ive always liked francouer at least.
  5. Brantley is just as bad as Kruk at "analysis". The only reason Kruk is hated more is because his opinions on everything have to be different than everyone elses. If you asked Kruk, Gammons and Brantley "who is the best hitter in the league?" and Gammons and Brantley said Pujols, Kruk would name someone else.
  6. hahahhahahahhahahahh first lead in over a week.
  7. lol macias is hitting second. Is dusty just lazy or what?
  8. id go out and play smear the queer right now, that game was a blast.
  9. Woohoo, i whipped you guys in the speed test.
  10. I've seen that, don't know what it's called. I thought pepper was a game where you practice rundowns. That's a pickle, havent you seen The Sandlot?
  11. When I was younger, my dad told me pepper was a game where everyone stood in circle, bent over, batting the ball back and forth bare-handed. He said it was banned because the ball would get away, and hit fans in the stands. Of course, my dad liked to make stuff up all the time to screw with me, so who knows.
  12. i dont think it matters, really. Just look at Prior/Wood/Zambrano. When they were all healthy, each did a different thing, but their OPSA was basically identical. No one approach is better than the others, just certain pitchers are better than certain other ones.
  13. I love how some people think that anyone who thinks Grieve is an upgrade over Macias are "stat-heads that think that stats are the end all be all", and then go on to judge a player on something like body language.
  14. I cant believe he doesnt think the 4th place NL Central team is a contender.
  15. Firing Dusty is AN answer to a multiple choice question where every answer is correct.
  16. IN YO OPINION
  17. That doesn't explain his love for Jeter though. Not that I need to point this out, but he loves to contradict himself. I think last year at the HR Derby, they had Reggie Jackson on while Tejada was batting. Morgan said something along the lines of "well if you look at the statistics, Tejada has actually put up better numbers than Jeter." Reggie of course interrupted him and said that no one has Jeter's intangiables and how he wouldn't take any player in the game over Jeter. As much as he loves Jeter and knowing his stance on stats, I was very surprised to hear him say that about Tejada. Well, there has never been any argument saying that Jeter is a better second baseman than Morgan. Not that I really think Sandberg was better than Morgan, but you get my point.
  18. I dont get it either, maybe its just that he doesnt like players that played after him? I mean, even the article mentions how much he respects the players that played before him. I guess its more of that "good old boy" stuff.
  19. I appreciate the sentiment, but having 14 games left against the Cards is hardly reassurring.
  20. Sweet, he's getting called up soon. I was wondering what was taking so long, 3 year guy in a big baseball conference, he's clearly too advanced.
  21. Philly would have to eat so much of Abreu's contract in a Zambrano/Abreu deal, that in the end it just wouldnt be worth it. I mean, are the Cubs going to add like 15 million to the payroll for the rest of Bobby's career?
  22. Hahahahahahahha, this thread is awesome, thumbs way, way up. "Grieve is better than Macias" "BUT HES HITTING .248 IN AAA AND NO OTHER TEAM WANTS HIM" "no one else wants Macias either, I'm not saying he's a star, I'm saying he's better than Macias" "YEAH RIGHT HE CANT HIT IN AAA WHY DO YOU WORSHIP HIM" "I said he would be a better option off the bench than Macias, not that I thought he was great" "LOL HE CANT HIT AAA WHAT MAKES YOU THINK HES GOING TO TURN INTO AN ALL-STAR, AM I TAKING CRAZY PILLS?" "I never said that, I said that he was better than Macias, why arent you even replying to what I say" "LOL IM TRYING TO DO SOME SCIENCE OVER HERE AND BLONDY IS TRYING TO MAKE OUT WITH ME"
  23. I voted for him too, because I like him. Also, Astros have a better record than us.
  24. Good for Oswalt, and too bad for Matsui. For some reason, despite obvious reasons for why I shouldnt, I really like both of them.
  25. If he really cant go as a starter, you might as well try it out.
