  1. watch out for this guy http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v429/KingJME/Seniorpic1.jpg
  2. i forgot grant johnson existed.
  3. lol, did paul pierce flash the blood at him? hilarious
  4. it's better than a broken jaw or being a ginger He's not normally a slow starter, at least not this slow.
  5. In the early 2008 season, his numbers are better at home than on the road. If you can call a .581 OPS "better" than something.
  6. 3rd. He just hasn't looked right at all. Someone mentioned it before, I think, but this whole triceps thing looks a lot like Woody in Los Angeles a few years back. He's 3-0 with an 0.96 ERA, an 0.64 WHIP, 24Ks in 28 innings and his BAA is .164
  7. You mean Joe Carter, right? Because I'm pretty sure Chip and Joe Morgan in the same booth would have caused some sort of apocalyptic event had it ever occurred. I knew I called him Morgan. Yeah I mean Carter although they are both equally bad. Joe Morgan is about 1,000 times better as an announcer than Joe Carter was.
  8. A 4.5 is pretty fast for a powerback that can cut like AD does. Coming into OU the word was that he ran 4.4s in highschool and was putting up 4.3s at OU in preperation for the draft, but I take all of that crap with a grain or 10 of salt.
  9. He's a ridiculous athlete. Now that he can focus on football fulltime, he has the chance to turn into a real playmaker.
  10. say what you want about matt ryan, but leave the sweater vest out of this
  11. Looks like Ryan. Does Dorsey get past Oakland, then?
  12. NFL.com has it live if you arent close to a TV god bless you. it's gonna be even harder to pay attention to this damn spring game now.
  13. I'm sort of sad, because this is the first draft in probably 15 years that I'm not able to watch on live TV.
  14. Why in the hell did the Mets trade him? He can run, hit, and field. he's sort of a dick
  15. Box Scores Iowa lost 5-4 in Zambrano's second rehab start. Harvey looked good, at least. CF F. Pie 0/4, 3 K LF M. Murton 0/2, 2 BB SP C. Zambrano 3 IP, 8 H, 5 ER, 4/2 K/BB RP R. Harvey 2 scoreless, 1 H, 5/1 K/BB Tennessee lost 3-2 in 18 innings Box Score 1B T. Colvin 1/9, 6 K RP J. Samardzija 2 IP, 4 H, 1 ER, 1/2 K/BB, 0-5 GO-FO Daytona lost 7-2 Box Score 1B J. Vitters 0-3, 3 K, E (10, fielding) SP M. Pawelek 2.1 IP, 7 H, 5 ER, 3/6 K/BB
  16. West Virginia is really turning into fullback U
  17. i wouldnt trade marmol for oswalt straight up
  18. lol, is that what happened? You're taking a hell of a beating in this thread, that's for sure. The ref might need to stop this fight before you get hurt. next time I'll put my comments in green so that people know there was sarcasm involved. my mistake. put them in invisible
  19. What are Augustin's draft chances? If the Sonics end up with Beasley, I really hope Augustin falls to 24. An Augustin/Durant/Beasley trio would look pretty sweet in OKC next year.
  20. it's not really about judging talent, it's about judging production. Looking at just ERA after four or five starts is going to give you so incomplete a picture that it's basically useless. You wouldn't look at a guy's OPS after five games and say "well, that tells us all we need to know." Hill hasn't given up a ton of runs, but with as many baserunners as he's allowing, it's by the grace of kent that he hasn't. I really think that the Cubs are worried about Hill's confidence, rightly or wrongly. They're pulling him after 5 innings or 80 pitches in games where he may not have pitched well but hasn't allowed a lot of runs, they're skipping him in a tough matchup. I think they're convinced that his mechanical issues are confidence based and they are going to do their damnedest to keep him from getting smacked around.
  21. 2008: 15-6 2007: 8-13 2006: 13-8 2005: 11-10 2004: 13-8 2003: 13-8 2002: 8-13 2001: 13-8 2000: 7-14 1999: 11-10 1998: 12-9 1997: 4-17 1996: 10-11 1995: 14-7 1994: 6-15 1993: 10-11 1992: 7-14 1991: 10-11 1990: 10-11 1989: 11-10 1988: 9-12 1987: 11-10 1986: 8-13 1985: 14-7 1984: 12-9 1983: 6-15 1982: 7-14 1981: 4-17 Best start in my lifetime. No matter how this year ends, I hope everyone is taking the time to enjoy how it started. Also: Best start since 1975 when the Cubs also started 15-6 Doh: Cubs finished 75-87 in 1975.
