  5. man larry roth is so lazy i mean quit sending your kid out there to do YOUR job
  6. I would agree with that, except it was strange with Zambrano throwing his warmup pitches and Lou talking to the umpire before going out to the mound. Gave Samardzija more warmup pitches. yeah, lou could have gotten to the mound faster if he had walked on his hands, he was obviously stalling
  7. guys, they started warming up shark in the bottom of the 5th, i think this was the plan all along. z's had two long outings in a row
  8. Interesting... will be nice if shark doesnt s the b
  9. I'm pretty thankful he's not a reactionary idiot, to be honest
  10. you knew that one was gone the minute he swung
  11. zambrano doesnt have it today boys looks like we're losing 2 out of 3 to pittsburgh zambrano putting up a stinker after that outing in milwaukee why do these guys always kill us
  12. that was pretty much the definition of right on the black not that he shouldn't have swung at it, but it wasn't down the middle
  13. oh man were gonna lose a series to the fn pirates
  14. what an f up even the relay was wild
  15. if clement cant even make stl's patchwork rotation, what makes you think he could beat out marquis the only reason that i brought that up is that the cubs have had some success with reclaimation projects. fox and wade (i think, correct me if i'm wrong) were busts. dempster was a hit. lieber (when he actually got the chance to pitch) is so-so. i'm not saying that clement would be a solid 3 guy like he was years ago, but at this point could anyone really be as bad as marquis now? having not paid attention to st. louis this season, was this more of a release because we have no options release, release because you suck release, or a hideo nomo situation? if it's a nomo case, he did do well after he left iowa. its a low risk move should the cubs bring him in. Marquis has a 96 ERA+. League average for SP is something like 95. He's been fine for a fifth starter. Clement hasn't pitched in the majors since 2006. He had a 72 ERA+ in 65 1/3 innings. He sucks, he's done. He had a 4.61 ERA in AAA this year, the same as Jason Marquis' major league ERA.

  17. if anything, edmonds celebration after the granny was because of the terrible strike call on the check swing a pitch or two earlier
  18. or an ump with a horrible zone in the 9th inning of a 110 degree day On a similar note, I was reading some college baseball clips from the 60s for this story we're running today, and one writer kept saying "bingle" as in "he hit a bingle to left" at first I thought it was just a typo, but I kept seeing it so I looked it up, and sure enough, it means single... has anyone else ever heard this? Besides Fred. (booyah)
  19. i will not get my hopes up i will not get my hopes up i will not get my hopes up
  20. got him on the 12-6... slider
  21. Badnews is either the most unlikeable person in the world or one hell of a dedicated troll
  22. .739 OPS vs lhp. if the cubs can get better production against lefties with him on the bench, it would be stupid to keep him in the lineup just because of how much he gets paid, come on dude. Yeah and who are they replace him with in the lineup? Ronny Cedeno and his .689 OPS vs. LHP That's a good point. I always forget the Ronny has reverse splits.
