The Clippers sure could have used Elton Brand yesterday. the okc crowd has already adopted russell westbrook, by the way. i mentioned it in the post above, but it's amazing how many loose balls he creates. Carleisimo played Watson the entire 1st and 3rd quarters, and let westbrook have the second and fourth, and it seemed like every time someone (JEFF GREEN ](*,) ](*,) ](*,) ) missed a jumper, westbrook came soaring out of nowhere to knock it out of the defensive rebounders hands. he hit a 3 from the left wing that capped a run and cut the lead down to 11 (after it had been in the mid 20s) and the crowd erupted. I can't see him not stealing watson's minutes by midseason.

I was there, too. The problem was Durant's foul trouble in the first half. He's the only guy on the team that can create his own jumper (Westbrook can get to the basket, but he's not going to come off a screen and hit a 15-footer) everyone looked better once Durant established that he was going to actually make a few shots. Westbrook looked good. he has this amazing ability to come swooping in and knock rebounds loose. I've never seen anything like it. I'm not sure how great it is for the transition defense, but he plays so hard, it's tough not to like it. Our interior "presence" is terrible and will be all year. WIlcox is an undersized 4, collison can't play with his back to the basket and i don't know why they let petro's preseason get him into the starting lineup. We need (NEED) a legit big man in the draft. BJ Mullens or Blake Griffin (assuming you're not 6'7) come on down.

Did LO get the start or did Vlad Rad? Lakers fans want to run him out of town in favor of Ariza. i was at the track during the tip, so i'm not sure. ariza is such a terrible shooter, but then, vlad is terrible at everything else. literally seconds after i post this, ariza sinks a 3-pointer

you should order a westbrook thunder tshirt and adopt us as your second team kevin love sucks and you know it, forget about minnesota I'm a much, much bigger fan of Westbrook than Love. Partly because Westbrook was there one more season, partly because Russ is such a freak on the court. is the other part because kevin love is a fat white guy with a chinstrap?

Go for it. I need a thread to talk about Westbrook with IMB. yes please. i havent been this excited for an NBA season ... ever. in 24 hours ill be at the Thunder's debut (and they'll be down 20 in the 4th)

I know I think most people wants to see the Lamar Odom .v. Andrew Bynum matchup. But he atleast Greg Oden could have front row seats to that matchup.... :D) WOOPS

I wish the Bulls game was on TV, even though seeing Lebron is an OK consolation prize. by the way, lebron looks quicker this year to me. anyway, pretty excited about seeing the bynum/odom matchup tonight

Look at these damn scores Marion the Barbarian 84.84 The Football Team 82.16 (thanks chris johnson, for scoring that last TD instead of lendale) 4th & Goal 97.76 burnt 97.68 0.08 POINTS! Burnt had Bironas, who boinked a 43-yard field goal early that would have won it. as it was, dominic rhodes' 109 total yards beats burnt. THATS GOTTA HURT

I could watch some of his dunks all day long. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9mVa_CY25fQ oh my god, that last one was vicious. if he does something like that at the ford center, that place might collapse I remember watching that game last year. I screamed so loud at that dunk. The thing that gets me is that he dunks the ball at full speed. When most people dunk, they slow down and take the 2 big steps to set up the dunk. Westbrook looked like he was running the 40-yard dash and the finish line was 10ft in the air. he had one this preseason that was just hilarious. he snuck in under the basket, casually caught a lob off a 2-footed jump and softly dunked it in 2-handed. it happened so quick that the post guy turned around and gave him a look like "you've got to be kidding me"
