  1. the dream shake!
  2. LOL that picture is amazing. I want it to be my desktop background I can't figure out how to save it since it's with flashplayer. If anyone knows how, let me know. I did email the DMN to see if I could have a copy since...it's me, [expletive]! http://i15.photobucket.com/albums/a400/InfinityBall/091219_NS_19COWSsaints37.jpg When I went there with noscript on it just showed all the pictures at once so it was easy to copy OWNED

  6. y'all gonna fire that kicker or what? what a lush fire him? uhhh, we'll have to run it through HR first
  7. YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS
  8. time to break out this bad boy again http://i8.photobucket.com/albums/a47/madhops_42/cubsmag2.jpg
  9. arguing with redflash is only fun if done ironically, otherwise there's a wrestling with pig analogy dying to be made
  10. milton bradley the DH is infinitely more lovable than milton bradley with a glove. by the end of the season seattle fans will be loving him and we'll be watching carlos silva eating donuts while he's on the DL and making more money than any of us will ever see in our lives
  11. why is anyone concerned about how many games bradley might or might not cost us by being a jerk when SILVA ABSOLUTELY SUCKS AND WILL COST US GAMES WITH HIS ACTUAL ON FIELD PLAY
  12. if we're getting into these hypotheticals, we should just ditch Ws anyway
  13. My brother's reaction to the trade: "The first time I heard of Silva was when Game Informer made fun of him for an entire review." Carlos Silva everybody!
  14. Literally the only thing Jim Hendry could get for Milton Bradley is the worst player in baseball. At that point, JUST KEEP HIM
  15. speaking of which, have any of them died this offseason? i want to update my picture
  16. i'm over the making fun of dead people thing. it's going to take a serious athlete's death to get me back in that game.
  17. take that edgar martinez!
  18. This. Expand the rosters, and have a fielding team and a hitting team. Why not go all out? Well, it's unfeasible. I think it would be awesome. The NFL is the most popular league in America and its players don't play both ways. But for baseball to do it, it would take a massive overhaul of the entire sport. Locker rooms, training facilities, payroll, dugouts, everything would have to change. In case you're not following, it would make the game awesome, but it's a stupid, unrealistic suggestion. I don't care what they do with the DH, be it get rid of it, add it to the NL, don't change a thing, whatever. But you're never going to win some purity of the game argument, because that has nothing to do with the DH.
  19. but ortiz was never going to be a good fielder and martinez was never going to be a good hitter. you're saying that you prefer a brand of baseball with bad fielders and bad hitters when there are simple alternatives. Which is ironic considering how much frothing and drooling you do whenever a chicago cub makes an out or hits into a double play. Just admit it, it has nothing to do with the sanctity of the game or whatever stupid BS people like to spout off, it's because you want to act all self righteous about something and latched onto this. If you'd grown up a fan of the Mariners or something, you wouldn't give a damn about the DH rule.
  20. the DH doesn't allow someone to "hit home runs and forget how to play the rest of the game." It just gives a few more guys a job than otherwise. In David Ortiz's prime, do you really think Boston would have said "well, sure you're a fantastic hitter, but we have a better defender, so, sorry, no room for you"? No, they would have stuck his ass at first base and you would have had some fat masher hitting home runs and falling over himself in the field. Meanwhile, Pedro Martinez would have been striking out 75 percent of the time and messing up sacrifice bunts. That's the baseball you want to see? No thanks, give me the DH and good hitters and let the pitchers focus on pitching. I don't care what baseball was like in 1935, I want it to be good now.
  21. sounds like he got in an argument with his fiancee and had an unfortunate accident. it's not like he was selling drugs and caught a stray
  22. He allegedly put a lot of work in over the summer w a personal trainer. He definitely has an NBA body. Don't know if he can really defend yet, and he could get better putting the ball on the floor. But he's got a sweet stroke. he's got that awesome form that i've never been able to duplicate no matter how hard i've tried where he keeps his elbow locked until he's at the very top of his jumpshot, and then fires it off. It's awesome to watch.
