the nuts and bolts of the dreaded nuptials are that it is my wife's cousin and his future wife, both of whom I like. We could have used the "we have a 3 year old and a 5 month old so we probably won't take off work to drive six hours round trip on a thursday but thanks" card, but it appears my wife was guilted by family members who don't see our kids as much as the rest of the fam and thus, on opening day, i will be on the road. but the good news is that there is also a wedding on saturday i must attend as well

i was so excited to take tomorrow off work to just watch baseball all day. My yearly tradition! No wife, no kids, just me and my illegal streams because i turned off mlb.tv because they gave Lady KKK a buncha money imagine my dismay to learn that instead we are apparently attending a 5 P.M. THURSDAY WEDDING THAT IS 3 HOURS AWAY FROM MY HOUSE. let me repeat that, a 5 pm wedding on a thursday

He's averaging close to 2k per inning in his ultra-small MLB sample size. Big leaguers swing at them and miss. You saw the one that was a called strike right? And sure big leaguers don't swing at them. Right. he has 11 walks in as many innings in the big leagues. His WHIP is 2.25. You don't throw a slider for strikes, you throw it in the dirt when you already have 2 strikes on a hitter or are at least in a pitcher's count. Since he can't command any other pitch, when he faces a big league hitter he rarely gets in a pitcher's count and actual major leaguers know they can just spit on anything that looks like a slider. anyone with a good slider is going to have a nice highlight reel given enough time, but you gotta be able to command another pitcher for it to be of use.

i wouldnt do it on OOTP but this is the real world where our biggest offseason waves were made by signing a ... 38 year old dude who rick ankieled himself out of the minors 16 years ago so probably not gonna dunk on the cardinals in this case, thank you
