  1. I hate Ryne Sandberg. The minor leagues are supposed to be about the young kids. Helping the kids become major leaguers. He's only out for himself, just like he always was. All he ever cared about was winning - winning - winning. A real LOSER off-the-field too. No wonder he's headed for a second DIVORCE. LOUSY family man. The Hall of Fame does not make you a good person. He let it go to his head. I hope to GOD he never ever manages the CUBS. I'll become a Whie Sox fan. IT'S NICE TO BE IMPORTANT BUT IT'S MORE IMPORTANT TO BE NICE!!!! Is this personal knowledge of him? did he spit on you or your son? As Cubs fans we would gives a rats rear end about nice, as long as they win a WS. The nice guys though are remember fondly. uhhh, it's more like common knowledge you rube
  2. the preseason is so bizarre for me, because we spend so long with no football, that i hear chris collinsworth's voice and im like "YES CHRIS COLLINSWORTH, SWEET" even though i frigging hate him
  3. who the h is this guy
  4. it was gross to watch. the only reason i want a young manager is so i dont have to watch some old guy with his weird veins and spots on his forehead.
  5. why not just call it an "M" I didn't make up the term. Glad you're able to add to the discussion, though. chill out hosak
  6. who the [expletive] is andres torres and who does he play for
  7. nowhere in piniella's quote did he call the team "little bitches" so I think we can rule out a winning streak
  8. Don't throw me in there, i have goony-money.
  9. My point is exactly the point and you know it. If you didn't think it was the point you would have said, "Well everyone takes roids so what's the difference." Clemens was done until he took roids. Bonds broke records that no one could have broken by taking the most powerful stuff GNC makes. What Clemens and Bonds took obviously is unbelievably powerful and they new it which is why they took it. Clemens and Bonds had plenty of money before they decided to juice. I guarantee they would give all the extra money they made back if they could trade that for getting inducted into the HOF. Bonds and Clemens are idiotic precisely because what they did is going to keep them out of the HOF. Being idiotic is taking something that you didn't need that will result in losing baseball immortality and honor. your train of thought is so off the rails that by the time i got halfway through this, i was too bored to come up with a reply. basically i'm right, so proceed at your own risk. i bet you 100000 million dollars (im good for it) that bonds and clemens feel no remorse. well, clemens might have a little once he's spending a couple years in martha stewart's ward at riker's or whatever.
  10. Holy hyperbole Batman! A guy taking that quantity of legal supplements would be in the ER daily. i was talking about walmart employees
  11. first off, no they don't. and that's not even the point. the point is that baseball isn't "pure" in the sense that everyone cries about, so it's kind of a stupid thing to get upset about. secondly, illegal? sure. idiotic? bonds uses stacks of 100s as coasters. Clemens, if he hadn't perjured himself like a moron, would be burning money that he gathered during a decade of extra baseball, all thanks to steroids.
  12. NEWSFLASH: every baseball player is chemically enhanced with loads of supplements. a single baseball player spends more on supplements in a month than you make in 3.
  13. erikkkkk please quit with unprovoked personal attacks
  14. No it wouldn't. It would make people lose faith in the game of baseball itself. that's pretty stupid and melodramatic, but i guess stupid and melodramatic describes the majority of baseball fans, so maybe you're right
  15. I think it would probably help baseball if Ripken used, really. Or Maddux or Griffey, too. It would make people realize that cheating has existed forever in this game, and maybe we could all get past it, finally.
  16. agreed.
  17. getting his carmelo on
  18. joe paterno is so awesome.
  19. I don't know if it's exactly 98%, but I know for sure it's in the high 90's. Pretty much, the Feds don't indict unless they know they can win. i believe it's 110%
  20. lol
  21. Kind of weird to go through this circuitous path to make yourself draft eligible, only to go play independent ball or whatever for a year.
  22. didn't you grow up in boston? does roast count?
  23. BRING ME THE HEAD OF BILLY BUTLER (and the rest of him too, please)
  24. But usually the guys that use steroids and get hurt, they get kind of fat and out of shape when they stop using them oh my god
  25. or if he used steroids Fixed I was told guys that when guys get injured a lot it's from their bodies breaking down to steroid use. only things like ligaments and hamstrings oh my god
