  1. yes
  2. i think the storm will be real good this year
  3. You're in the minority there. hahahahhahhahahahhaha i hope this was intentional
  4. I turned it off after the 11th and started playing diablo. that is just unbelievable.
  5. I really hope this is just some cool old dude who got the internet and not someone screwing around, because it's pretty cool if so.
  6. i dont get it either. i worked in the sports department at a mid-sized daily for a while during the barbaro thing, and they wanted updates on his condition on the front page every day. WHY THE HELL.
  7. Can anyone give me some knowledge on Jackie Bradley and the insane season he's having? I don't know much about him outside of the numbers, which are kind of shocking. Is he a top 50 guy next year?
  8. that's awesome. he's like one of those broken baseball mogul players
  9. jesus christ, is brett lawrie like brooks robinson or something
  10. I was definitely rooting for the Thunder to win with the Bulls out, and moreso now. Very sorry to hear about your loss, imb. appreciate it. He died the day of Game 1 against the Mavs. I've just been assuming all the Dirk/Kobe/Manu/Parker flops were actually him invisibly tripping them.
  11. I wasn't expecting pretty much the same player this year. There's still time though. he's gonna go on a 3-week hit binge soon and be up in the .330s. This is totally unsubstantiated, but it seems like he's a guy that will go 1-for-4 over and over and over and then put together a bunch of 3-hit games in a row.
  12. Dumb question: can you retroactively place a guy on the DL in the minors like you can in the majors?
  13. I know most of you don't know, because I haven't talked about it here. But my brother died a month ago. We were very close, had gone to a bunch of Thunder games together and he was a big fan. This means a lot to me (harden's flops not withstanding.)
  14. so you wouldn't trade dempster for TWO HALLADAYS?
  15. or he's just trying to illustrate that it's stupid to give up on a pitching prospect after one year of crappy major league numbers granted, an extremely rare case like halladay isn't the best way of doing that, but why are you intentionally being obtuse? it's just a dumb example if you're trying to prove a point. "13th round draft pick, who cares?" "OH, YOU DON'T CARE ABOUT ALBERT PUJOLS??????!!!!!"
  16. FYI, Underwood has received a few Taijuan Walker comps. Probably because they're both black but I'll take it. I'm pretty sure that Klaw had him top 50 in his last top 100 list. if all you did was read underwood's scouting report, i would have been fine with taking him in the comp round. he sounds like a steal, particularly considering where he was picked
  17. what in the [expletive] is this series
  18. man, reading draft chat is kind of sad. "Who will draft mccullers?" "Well, only a couple teams have the slot to sign him." What a terrible system.
  19. Just got home. Like everyone else, I wanted Correa, but Almora is a nice consolation prize. Michael Bourn with less speed and more power sounds effing awesome.
  20. His first three seasons in the minors, he had 49 SBs vs. 31 HRs. keith law described his swing as pierre-esque
  21. that's outstanding
  22. for the record, i think this is a fantastic post
  23. In the accompanying chat, Kevin Goldstein had this to say: I agree with everything Aaron says about Castro offensively. Defense, not so much. I predict he'll be a third baseman during the last half of this ten year period, and the stolen bases will dwindle. I thought that was interesting given the variety of opinions on his defensive development. And Sutcliffe picked Shark at #26. what the hell
