  1. Baez just hit AA HR No. 9 by the way
  2. trying not to get too hyped here, but he got a post-trade promotion, too, right?
  3. I hope he shows up every day until they just pay him the entire 61 mil to go away it's horse [expletive] that these guys get vilified for wanting to get paid what the teams agree to pay them
  4. arod is not going to retire and leave 90 million on the table
  5. [davell]well according to my calculations bloop bleep bleep bloop you should be good to go [/davell]
  6. i saw that a couple days ago. the thing is, his trot looked normal speed to me, but he definitely held a pose before getting moving. vogelbached it.
  7. This is pretty wishful, but you gotta think that when a guy with Baez's ability with the bat is making a conscious decision to see more pitches, he's going to see more BB and Ks until he gets comfortable at it. Now, the Almora patience is just flat out fun to see.
  8. how absurd that we're going to add one of these guys to our already stacked system.
  9. if you allow me to take off my analrapist hat and put on my scs translator pantsuit, i think he's saying that if you trade a prospect for a guy who ends up being a front end guy, it's not worth lamenting. There's 7 starts for Archer this year, the odds are still good that we got more value out of garza than the rays do out of archer.
  10. jonmdavis returns just to post an expletive-laden tirade about how much he hates b2b's face Jon ain't comin' back from where he went, friend. there's always parole
  11. You should take a glance at Steve Clevenger's game log from last year. Or Bryan LaHair's. Anyone remotely capable of being a major leaguer can have a 6 game stretch like this. It's awesome, exciting, and fun to watch, but it doesn't tell us anything about what will happen with that player in the future. my favorite crappy player with an amazing stretch has to be neifi perez's late 2004 and first couple months of 2005 Spoeaking of hot starts... let's see if anyone can guess this batting line to open a season... 13G 24H 51AB 9HR 17RBI .471/.500/1.216/1.716 francouer?
  12. would you have gone 10/200 to harper as an amateur? i could never give that to an ammy pitcher, but for Harper I think I would have cut the check immediately.
  13. i gotta see the new top 100 right off the top, lindor and bogaerts have the same power profile
  14. i think im just at the point in my life where i feel like anyone taking sports seriously enough to be like "junior lake? heh. awful player, folks. IN YOUR FACE CUBS FANS DONT DARE TWEET ME." is a [expletive] stupid dork.
  15. how is his dick not hanging out of those shorts
  16. man parks, dont you know its impossible to have a prospect chat without being an [expletive] all the time? they're gonna cut up your chat card if you keep this up
  17. I said it was rare. There is no evidence that Hank did PED's other than trying them once, despite the fluctuations and his home runs staying on a level plane. Why do you think Aaron's numbers were so great toward the end of his career? There's no evidence that Sosa did either, but here we are
  18. Look at his baseball reference profile. His stat progression matches the career arc of a steroid user exactly.
  19. my god, get bryant out of boise before those uniforms ruin him
  20. those are embarassing. it looks like something youd make in an old triple play baseball game or something
  21. my god those are awful. is Boise a little league team?
