  1. He's never OPSed over .800 in the minors, so, meh. 90 walks in more than 2300 at bats
  2. all they got for peavy was avisail garcia?????
  3. pretty sure baez BB% is more than 10% the last month
  4. ok how many games do we have to lose to get the no. 2 pick
  5. obviously #notascout but alvarez seems to me like a guy with a big slow lumbering swing, not like baez at all
  6. that swing is mesmerizing
  7. i think he gloated about the packers one too many times/had too many cheeseburgers
  8. Then there will be another half dozen lists that inexplicably still think Lindor is the better prospect. I can respect Lindor's profile even if it makes me irrationally angry when people fawn over him. If you asking me if I want someone who can for sure handle SS and will walk a lot, or if I want a guy that might move off the position and might flame out but just might crank 40 home runs, I know who im taking.
  9. I know it's foolish to look this far ahead, especially with prospects, but assuming Castro isn't going anywhere, is 3B going to end up being a race between who gets to the majors first out of Baez and Bryant?
  10. I think it's safe to assume Almora will get promoted within the next few weeks to Daytona. What does it say about daytona that this actually annoys me a little bit. i just want almora to stay on the field.
  11. i think george springer has 29 gallo has 27 and sano has 26
  12. it was probably on insiders
  13. Because he has as many home runs as walks He's also a shortstop who may hit 40HR. The rarity of that is just ridiculous. Unfortunately he's a SS who may not get on base 30% of the time. The rarity of that, unfortunately is not ridiculous. Well, you're basically saying there are a lot of SS that can't get on base 30 percent of the time, making Baez' low OBP not a big deal, thereby making the power numbers even cooler.
  14. 1 HR every 2 games in AA
  15. What the teams agreed to pay them is what the CBA stipulates and what their contracts stipulate including penalties resulting from PED suspensions. ARod has no one but himself to blame. He said he felt pressured to take PEDs in Texas to live up to his record-setting contract - a contract no one twisted his arm to sign. that's not what im talking about and you know it/dont care so why am i bothering
  16. If you were god of nsbb for a day, what would you do?
  17. Baez just hit AA HR No. 9 by the way
  18. trying not to get too hyped here, but he got a post-trade promotion, too, right?
  19. I hope he shows up every day until they just pay him the entire 61 mil to go away it's horse [expletive] that these guys get vilified for wanting to get paid what the teams agree to pay them
  20. arod is not going to retire and leave 90 million on the table
  21. [davell]well according to my calculations bloop bleep bleep bloop you should be good to go [/davell]
  22. i saw that a couple days ago. the thing is, his trot looked normal speed to me, but he definitely held a pose before getting moving. vogelbached it.
  23. This is pretty wishful, but you gotta think that when a guy with Baez's ability with the bat is making a conscious decision to see more pitches, he's going to see more BB and Ks until he gets comfortable at it. Now, the Almora patience is just flat out fun to see.
  24. how absurd that we're going to add one of these guys to our already stacked system.
