    I think it's safe to assume Almora will get promoted within the next few weeks to Daytona. What does it say about daytona that this actually annoys me a little bit. i just want almora to stay on the field.

    Because he has as many home runs as walks He's also a shortstop who may hit 40HR. The rarity of that is just ridiculous. Unfortunately he's a SS who may not get on base 30% of the time. The rarity of that, unfortunately is not ridiculous. Well, you're basically saying there are a lot of SS that can't get on base 30 percent of the time, making Baez' low OBP not a big deal, thereby making the power numbers even cooler.

    This is pretty wishful, but you gotta think that when a guy with Baez's ability with the bat is making a conscious decision to see more pitches, he's going to see more BB and Ks until he gets comfortable at it. Now, the Almora patience is just flat out fun to see.

There's 7 starts for Archer this year, the odds are still good that we got more value out of garza than the rays do out of archer.

    You should take a glance at Steve Clevenger's game log from last year. Or Bryan LaHair's. Anyone remotely capable of being a major leaguer can have a 6 game stretch like this. It's awesome, exciting, and fun to watch, but it doesn't tell us anything about what will happen with that player in the future. my favorite crappy player with an amazing stretch has to be neifi perez's late 2004 and first couple months of 2005 Spoeaking of hot starts... let's see if anyone can guess this batting line to open a season... 13G 24H 51AB 9HR 17RBI .471/.500/1.216/1.716 francouer?
