  1. vogelbomb and bryant just went back-to-back and we have ENTERED THE BONE ZONE
  2. Alcantara hit his 30th double, bringing Baez up who strikes out on 3 pitches. (called strike) (swinging strike) (swinging strike)
  3. Bryant batting fifth again. Also, devoss is so weird. he walks so [expletive] much, another 73 walks in 372 at bats. too bad he can't do much if he does actually make contact.
  4. under pressure from bud to increase the public's acceptance of replay/challenges
  5. and then we use our final high first-round pick on tim beckham ffffffffffffff
  6. BRING BACK THE EXPOS
  7. It's regular scoring, just a weird roster setup. Here's my guess at how teams will do their keepers/what qbs will be available by my pick (10th round 1, 1st round 2) 1: Russell Wilson, Adrian Peterson 2: RG3, Andrew Luck 3: Aaron Rodgers, Marshawn Lynch 4: Drew Brees, Jamaal Charles 5: Matt Ryan, Lesean McCoy 6: Ray Rice, Dez 7: Peyton, AJ Green 8: Arian Foster, Flacco 9: Brady, Calvin Johnson So, assuming I keep Spiller and Richardson, these QBs will be available in the draft. 1: Russell Wilson, Adrian Peterson 2: RG3, Andrew Luck (Alfred Morris is a possibility) 3: Aaron Rodgers, Marshawn Lynch 4: Drew Brees, Jamaal Charles 5: Matt Ryan, Lesean McCoy 6: Ray Rice, Dez 7: Peyton, AJ Green 8: Arian Foster, Flacco 9: Brady, Calvin Johnson/or Doug Martin Newton, Kaepernick, Stafford, Romo, Manning, Roethlisberger, Vick, Dalton, Rivers, Bradford, Palmer, Schaub, Cutler, Alex Smith, Tannehill, Freeman. If everyone takes a QB in the first round (which I don’t think has ever happened) I end up with Carson Palmer and Schaub (ok im starting to agree with you.) I’m sure that Morris/whichever one of Megatron and Martin isn’t kept, will go in the first round, which would leave Dalton, Rivers and Bradford available for me to take. Ehh, I think you’re right. It’s probably worth it on the offchance I can end up with Cam, Spiller, Martin/Morris/Johnson, one of the remaining QBs.
  8. You don't think im kind of marginalizing both positions by not just committing to one? I can't shake the idea that I could have a dominant run game+at least an average QB roster vs. an average run game and slightly above average QB roster (or great QBs+abysmal RBs)
  9. You and imb road tripping to football mecca for the OU/ND game? just because andy went there for his honeymoon does not make it a mecca
  10. MY GOD http://wapc.mlb.com/play/?content_id=29807715&partnerId=as_mlb_20130818_10925174&topic_id=11493214
  11. guys, guys, guys, you're not looking at this clearly. just think about how awesome it's going to be to hear Hawk scream "DAGGUM RIGHT WE'RE GONNA PLAY THIS GAME UNDER PROTEST" while arguing about a computer-generated overturn of an out call or something
  12. he needs to be batting 2nd and vogelbach needs to be batting third, no excuse to have the best hitting prospect on the team (maybe in the organization) all the way down at frigging fifth.
  13. Brett Jackson is hitting .173 in AA.
  14. whats funny about that statement is that alfaro isn't even a consensus #GUY
  15. youre playing with fire unnamed aa pitcher
  16. there are very few scenarios where i feel like it's a good idea to pitch to baez right now, so his BB rate should spike this month
  17. if he went to st louis he'd have a neck tattoo and a .350 batting average by september
  18. if i found out tomorrow that castro died overnight, i'd probably be relieved
  19. Chipper. Miggy, after a few years at first. successfully
  20. Here's an obsessive "im bored on Saturday" update for you. I think team 2 is FAR superior to either team one or team three. I ran three different projections, changing up my keepers each time (and projecting the other 9 teams's keepers) and this is what I ended up with Scenario 1: Keeping Cam/Spiller This played out interestingly, because despite keeping both an elite QB and an elite RB, I feel like my depth at both positions sucks. ESPN projected this team to finish in third. QB: Cam QB: Palmer RB: Spiller RB: Reggie Bush TE: Jordan Cameron WR/TE: Brandon Marshall WR/TE: Randall Cobb WR/TE: Victor Cruz QB3: Bradford RB3: Daryl Richardson RB4: Michael Bush WR4: Torrey Smith WR5: Tavon Austin Scenario 2: Keeping Spiller/Richardson I end up with the same WR group, bland QBs, but pretty elite RBs. ESPN projected this team to finish in first. QB: Eli QB: Dalton RB: Spiller RB: Richardson TE: Housler WR/TE: Brandon Marshall WR/TE: Randall Cobb WR/TE: Cruz QB3: Bradford RB3: Sproles RB4: Daryl Richardson WR4: Decker WR5: Kenny Britt Scenario 3: Keeping Cam/Kaepernick. In this scenario, I don’t have to worry about QBs at all until the late rounds, and can focus on RB/RB early or RB/WR. ESPN projects this team to finish in 2nd place. QB: Cam QB: Kaepernick RB: Forte RB: Reggie Bush TE: Jordan Cameron WR/TE: Brandon Marshall WR/TE: Randall Cobb WR/TE: Victor Cruz QB3: Bradford RB3: Daryl Richardson RB4: Michael Bush WR4: Torrey Smith WR5: Tavon Austin
  21. I have no idea if any of those Lacy-tier backs are worth anything. Is David Wilson the starter in NY? Lacy might be third string for christ's sake. Daryl Richardson of the Rams? Is Deangelo Williams worth a [expletive]? There's like 7 RBs I like and then a bunch of turds out there
  22. I just worry that if baez and bryant both make it, if we shift them down the spectrum for [expletive] castro, we'll never shift them back up. Has anyone ever gone from LF to 3B successfully? Or 3B to SS? I know the orioles are talking about doing it with machado, but A.) they haven't yet and B.) he's otherworldly on defense in the first place. I guess I just dream of this surplus of production from the left side of the infield because that would be almost an unfathomable bonus.
  23. Im in a long running fantasy league that lets you keep 2 players each offseason. The league has a weird roster breakdown and I'm really confused on which two players to keep. The details: It's a 10-man league. You start 2 QBs, 2 RBs, 1 TE and 3 TE/WR each week. With 10 teams, you almost have to have two good starting QBs to compete. Here's my options Cam Newton, Matthew Stafford, Colin Kaepernick CJ Spiller, Trent Richardson WILDCARD Jimmy Graham My plan early in the offseason was to keep Cam and Spiller, thinking that you almost have to keep a QB to ensure you get two strong ones. And Spiller should have a monster year, and obviously having at least one stud RB is a huge help with how depleted RB is this year. But after a few mocks, it seems like if you don't take 2 RBs with your first two picks, you end up with a [expletive] show at the position. You almost have to have a late first round pick to ensure you get a good RB2 on the snake. It's a mess. So now I don't know what to do - my first instinct is to stick with the cam, spiller idea (I won last year so I have the last pick of the first round and should be able to get a good QB2) and just hope to hit on a RB late.
