    Another Fred-note - perhaps his greatest accomplishment in life is that he was that mod that banned Da Bum. That should put to rest any desire to see Da Bum return -- he should be banned forever, just how Fred wanted it.

    I prefer to think of it as not as great what metrics has he been worse in? Besides FIP. all of them? k/9 - down bb/9 - up hr/9 - up babip - way down lob% - way up gb% - down hr/fb% - way up fip - up and that's all with the benefit of his amazing last 6 weeks or whatever I'm not saying he's not great, but he's been the beneficiary of a lot of luck and it's hilarious to see that he's had a worse season than last year, and he's a Cy Young candidate, while the prevailing notion outside of cubs fans a year ago was that he disappointed.

    lester might be the frontrunner right now tbh. id still give it to fernandez though. What's weird is that by metrics, lester has been worse than last year.

    Being classy enough to play for the Cardinals instantly raises your BA by at least 40 points. oh right. coghlan has been bad so .210 would be good. he's actually hitting .214 with the cubs tho. also, the cardinals suck. they don't have pixie dust. *beep boop beep* (extremely robot voice) actually pixie dust is from the 1953 walt disney film 'peter pan.' there is no evidence that it exists in real life. i will never know a woman's touch.

    I can't stand any of them other than Edmonds, but Shannon is the worst by a wide margin. He's not only terrible calling the game, his mush mouthed mispronunciations are absolutely awful as well. Shannon is the one I've heard the least, so I'll take your word for it. he's so bad it's *almost* worth it to listen to a game he's doing

The one who then passed away a little while later? and the [expletive] made the trade. i like to think billy gave his soul for that trade
