I would have to be getting 17.5 points to even consider betting on the Bears in that game. Probably 21.5 to feel good about it, especially now with the Favre retirement ceremony.
In my mind, Darling's the guy until he gives up 3 goals and a loss. Unless it's some weird 6-5 Hawks win or something where he gets pulled. Crawford will be back in there eventually this playoffs, but no need to rush it. Ride Darling as long as you can. Rinne has been garbage. Guy used to own us but looks terrible right now. Win game 4 and the series is over.
To be fair, the Hawks success has priced out many the real fans at least in the 100 level. It reminds me of the 90's Bulls. Agreed. Also, lots of people saving their money up for the WCF/SCF if it goes that far. UC was still awesome during the Kings series last year, so I'm not worried. Just interesting to see it play out that way with the Hawks just like it did with the Bulls and most other teams that have sustained runs of success.
The Ottawa and Calgary crowds have been insane. On TV, the UC sounded like a morgue most of the time. Pick it up, people! In fairness, 7 years of playoffs and 2 cups allow you the ability to not treat a first round game like it's actually that important.
The problem is keeping a personal catcher on the roster that's now led Lester to a 7 ERA in 3 starts Bingo. The Ross thing is such [expletive]. Not even Theo can avoid an unnecessary meatball move here and there.
Looks like Baez and Alcantara are the busts...does that mean everyone else hits their potential? I'll take it. alcantara was just a last minute addition to the list of prospects. Him not making it in the majors isn't really a bust. Can't we just add him to the list to help our percentages out?
If we were going to bother with Rondon, wish it would've been 2 innings ago. HE'S THE 9TH INNING GUY, DUDE! Seriously, though, why not try and get 8 outs out of Strop/Rondon or just stick with Rosscup?
Yeah, I don't even care about the 4 strikes thing. He has a track record of sucking. Can't wait for Grimm to get back and Schlitter to move back into his apartment in Iowa...and stay there forever.
Did they really try to prevent you from getting in, where you had to call Stub Hub? No. It was pretty normal. But I did see someone getting questioned about their tickets by one hard ass security guy. Not sure what happened there.
Was at the game. Stub Hub didn't let us down. There were a decent amount of Hawks fans there for a Wednesday night. I imagine Friday is a lot more. Overall, a great experience and rubbing it in to Nashville fans was fun after they were relentless when they were up 3-0. Their franchises' two most famous games involve blowing playoff leads to us, LOL.
Can't believe Vermette has been so bad he is the odd man out for Game 1. He hasn't been--Q is just being an [expletive]. Versteeg and especially Nordstrom deserve to sit over Vermette.
I agree the fans shouldn't cheer the anthem on the road. I went to one game down in Nashville and the Chicago fans were respectful. I think it's hilarious they are trying to keep the "Red" out. I'll be there on Wednesday night with tickets via StubHub. Never been to Nashville, let alone a game at Bridgestone. I'm randomly working a couple of hours away from there that week and going to drive in for the game with a co-worker. Wearing a Kane jersey if he plays. I'll give a full report later in the week. If you have time for a drink before the game go over to Paradise Trailer Park bar. Plenty of Hawks fans have made it their pregame bar over the years. I'll try to make it over there. Thanks!

Story from Deadspin with video showing the excited Calgary and Winnipeg fans. Good stuff. http://deadspin.com/the-nhl-playoffs-are-shockingly-canadian-1696964381
