  2. Hmmm ....Dickey wins the Cy Young award....
  3. I would like managers who really want to participate. If Juan, or whomever, does not respond quickly, then I would find someone else. Juan has been great, kudos for setting up this league, but he has seemed to burn out.
  4. I have tried contacting an old friend of mine and asking him if he wanted to join. So far I have nor received a reply.
  5. You have the most natural core of keepers ever. Cano, Mauer, Cutch + Votto = 1981 points. Add in Chapman and you're looking to fill the roster with more exempt guys, I would guess. Niese and Montero are both exempt.
  6. "the right price" presumably being anything. i'd be baffled if anyone decides to use 36% of their allotted keeper points on a 37 year old pitcher coming off an extreme career year. I would agree, except for the knuckleball.
  7. Dickey is available for the right price
  8. Shouldn't we get all of our managers lined up before we start trading. I am in for next year. Anyone else? How many newbies will we need?
  9. :(
  10. I need to take a few days off. But after a good season, the Quakers will be looking to unload points.
  11. Tim, are you by any chance happy that the Cubs are going to Peoria? :-k
  12. I approve this post. Oh no another quote from Mr Huble himself
  13. Don, we are laughing with you not at you:) I am glad you take this league seriously enough to get excited about it. It also points out how as a manager you can put together a good team, but it really boils down to blind luck at crucial moments in crucial games. BTW - You will be the Buffalo Bills of Roadkill.
  14. 2 weeks and 7 starts per week? Chapman is day-to-day. So I benched him and picked up League. Go Quakers! :good:
  15. I have mixed emotions. I had hoped for a Portland area team, but at least Boise comes through Salem. Also if Yakima comes to Hillsboro....
  16. Ooops, I didn't have Dickey twice. But it looks like I won anyways \:D/ My first division championship \:D/ My first play-off win \:D/ and with any luck my first Roadkill title \:D/ I have a spot on my bookshelf for my trophy (he says hopefully) or do we get a T-shirt this year?
  17. http://www.idahopress.com/sports/hawks-to-play-for-nwl-title-tonight/article_2a391a80-fa4c-11e1-951c-001a4bcf887a.html Hawks play for the NWL title tonight.
  18. Cory Hart has a sprained ankle. Hopefully he will play tomorrow. I have Dickey twice this week. I am going to need him to be on.
  19. Couldn't be any closer.
  20. I want and hope he does. I think he can handle the jump. Bruno was too advanced for this league, but Devoss blocked him. You know what, I thought Bruno should've gone up earlier, but I'm not sure it was necessarily DeVoss blocking him as it was the Cubs trying to figure out what they want to do with him defensively. All that said, he really should start next year at Daytona. Wouldn't surprise me if they kept him in a utility role up there, though, with the purpose of getting him AB's as they sort out guys future. Would love to see him get the chance to run with it at 2nd. Good point. Yea, I would like to see how he fairs at full season level before Ican really evaluate him as a prospect.

  22. Thank you. Has someone set up the play-off games?
  23. Come on Tim. I would like a bye this week
  24. This was my understanding as well. +1 Although, during the years I was out of the play-offs I did not like the rule. While the other tams were fighting in the play-offs I could be looking at September call-ups and see if anyone was worth keeping. Although most years there was not.
  25. Shoulders in the outfield? :-o I would have liked to see how he handled that.
