  6. No. Colleges attended 1) New College of University of Florida 2) Washington University of St. Louis - 3) Southern Oregon State University 4) Cal State San Bernardino 5) University Of Oregon
  7. I wasn't all that impressed with Wells when I saw him pitch for Boise.
  8. Yes, you gave them all to me. What part of Minnesota are you from? BTW - If Roadkill is not working for you, then you may need to update your browser. Try Chrome.
  9. I believe B is correct. That's the draft rule. In the draft, you can take a player in the MLB draft and if they start in the Majors, you keep them, even if they haven't been in the majors yet. According to abuck, viewtopic.php?p=2864355#p2864355, once a player exceeds the RK limit, he can't be in your minors. We'll need a ruling from abuck, but I believe we've always played that if a player is in the actual minors, he can be in yours. I believe that Abuck will say it was OK for me to draft him in the ML draft last year. It was OK for me to stash him on my DL for most of the season. It was OK for me to move him to the minors at the end of last year, since he was actually in the minors. But if I want to keep him for the off season, then he must be one of my 10 major league keepers. No one who has exceeded Roadkill's minor league limits can be kept in the minors during the off season. Also, Dan Hudson is available. Almost no points and you will be able to stash him on the DL at the start of next year. :clapping:
  10. Rubby De La Rosa - He spent all of last year in the minors. But 2 years ago he had 10 starts. So... A) I cannot stash him in the minors, because he had more than 10 starts. B) I can stash him in the minors, but he needs to be in the minors when the season starts or I lose him. My guess is the correct answer is A, but I want to have my opinion confirmed.
  11. Yes, you gave them all to me. What part of Minnesota are you from?
  12. I'm thinking more along the lines of Dee Gordon. Hey, you said you wanted Dee.
  13. According to Adam's last post, we need one more manager.
  14. I like Amaya's bat. I have enough faith in the other Cub's prospects to think that Marco is not going to play SS in the majors.
  15. Being able to see Boise when the play in Salem-Keizer and in Hillsboro. I do hope the cubs have a good draft this June. That couple with a few of last year's AZL players and a few international picks could make for an exciting season of baseball for me.
  16. Amaya, Alcantara, Scott I may regret this choice, but I liked what I saw of Scott last year. Besides I find myself almost always leaning towards the younger prospect. I hope Scott justifies my confidence in him this year.
  17. Lol I vote and find out that the race is still tied. I am not sure why, but I find myself going with the younger players in just about every vote.
  18. http://www.latimes.com/sports/baseball/mlb/angels/la-sp-angels-trade-20121220,0,6452495.story Gives the Angels pitching depth and frees up Bourjas to play center. I think LA got the better of this deal.
  19. http://seattletimes.com/html/mariners/2019939726_mariners20.html The move provides some cost savings for Seattle, but Seattle will need to replace Vargas and they will have a log jam at 1st and DH depending on the ability of Montero to catch.
  20. http://mlb.mlb.com/news/article.jsp?ymd=20121219&content_id=40752056&vkey=news_ana&c_id=mlb I hadn't seen this posted elsewhere.
  21. As Tim noted my keepers are probably set but 1) Votto (392.75pts) could be had for the right price. 2) Mauer (445pts) too... Montero is exempt for me next year. Hanley Rameriz (444pts) is not projected to be a keeper for me, so his price may be lower. and like I said, the CY Young winning Dickey is available.
  22. This Lim signing appears to be generating a ton of excitement.
  23. For what it is worth.... from the cub's site I'm trying to understand the signing of Chang-Yong Lim. He sounds talented but he is 36 years old and unavailable until 2014. Why would the Cubs spend $5 million under these circumstances? -- Billy E. Lim didn't sign a $5 million deal. His contract, which was finalized Monday, includes a $100,000 signing bonus, and he will get monthly Minor League salaries for up to the next two seasons, unless his contract is purchased. Look at recent signings, and he's a bargain. Setup pitcher Mike Adams, 34, has reportedly agreed to a two-year, $12 million contract. This also is an investment for the future. The right-hander has pitched the last five seasons for the Yakult Swallows in Japan and was released after needing a second Tommy John surgery in July to repair a torn ligament in his elbow. Despite that, he said he received offers from teams in Japan and the U.S., including the Cubs, Red Sox and Rangers. A power pitcher with a sidearm delivery, "Mister Zero" was a closer in the Korea Baseball Organization for four years. "The Cubs expect to see me back on the field in 2014, rather than next year," Lim told reporters at Incheon International Airport last week. "Once the deal is signed, I will move to Arizona where the Cubs operate a rehab center. My goal is to continue to rehab and get back on the mound by mid to late season next year."
  24. I haven't seen this anywhere. Lock this comun if I am wrong. http://chicago.cubs.mlb.com/news/article.jsp?ymd=20121213&content_id=40636872&vkey=news_chc&c_id=chc
