I definitely see where you're coming from. I guess I'm just more concerned than you are. Like I said, the offense has been like this to various degrees since last season in my opinion. Just starting to get really frustrated with them, is all.

Yup. This is along the lines of what I'm thinking. Someone's gotta be pro-active and assertive about this, as I don't see the ship righting itself. Glad I've never agreed with you so far. We both want the Cubs to win, badly. Dont forget that at least.

I don't see how either of those thing will change how the team is playing right now. Doing nothing isn't working either. If you can explain how randomly firing a manager or firing the hitting coach is going to make them play better be my guest. I don't think it's "random". I think there's pretty valid reasons to make those changes right now, wouldn't you agree? I mean obviously firing someone has nothing to do with a teams talent on the field, but you have to do something. This team needs to wake up.

Both would be really stupid moves. Perspective guys. You know, I thought "is this a knee-jerk reaction"? But we've been like this all year. In fact we've arguably been inconsistent like this since last year. Add some killer injuries on top of it, and you've got the problem we're experiencing now. We gotta make a change somewhere, even if its just to do it.

They're not a horrible baseball team. They're a horrible baseball team right now. Piniella or the front office has to start being assertive about this, I don't care which one.

That at bat underscores my point. It's like they don't even want to try. And why is there a giant stuffed Pikachu along the wall behind home plate? they're just slumping and not seeing pitches well right now. or they're professionals who have collectively decided to stop trying, i guess either one is possible. Even professionals can lose focus and guidance on occasion. I think we're seeing that.

Yeah...usually not scoring EVER is not fun to watch. But beyond that, there's nothing interesting... even the players look like they'd rather be anywhere else I hate when people say things like that. When your team is losing you always look like that. When your team is winning you always look like you are playing with a lot of heart. Ehhh....I think it's obvious they're losing focus.
