    He gets a pass because since he's been a Cub he's been really, really good. He's built up enough benefit of doubt. Jones had been bad for 3 years, and hasn't been good with us. So ARam carries no blame for the current funk because he's been good before? Gee, that make sense. Either by design or accident, you are confusing disappointment with blame.

Quit making freaking excuses, this is ridiculous. I give you Moises Alou who, I believe, was making a hell of a lot more money at the time than Jones is now. So you're excuse for Jones getting picked off 3 times in 2 weeks is that Alou ran poorly when he was a Cub? Like I said, absurd. This pathetic excuse making for Jones is absolutely absurd. Umm... no. I was responding to you asking to find somebody else who had done this. Took me about five seconds. But hey, if you want to change the subject since I made you look like an idiot, go right ahead. If you think comparing Jones to Alou (and only Alou) on the basepaths either absolves him from criticism or supports your position, you are casting the idiot moniker at the wrong person.

    I'll go with the easy answer: Alou Was it 3 times in 2 weeks? I know it was often, but this frequently? Regardless, he's not on the Cubs anymore. This idiotic defense of Jones by saying he's not the only one doing bad things is utterly ridiculous. I think it was over a month. Maybe two. Regardless, I think your point stands. 1) Who would want to be compared with Alou when it comes to baserunning?, and 2) That is two out of how many players over the last couple of years? Not great odds.

    How is she clearly guilty? Doesn't aggravated assault actually require some sort of actual assault? Assault includes threats and attempts to do bodily harm to someone. It becomes aggravated if it more serious than a common assault, so it's kind of open to interpretation. Is this the statutory definition in Illinois?

    Mike & Mike are very much baseball nimrods. As much as anyone in ESPN, they are strictly Yankee/Red Sox followers. That being said, they had what I thought was a great interview with Jim Leyland this morning as well.

    She probably had a better arm than Jacque. Somebody had to say it. I know you are being sarcastic, but this is not funny and reflects badly on all of us. What's worse, she's clearly guilty of aggravated assualt and attempted battery, yet she will not be charged. Thus, this is likely to happen again. C'mon, its still funny. Lets not pretend that every little thing presented on this message board encourages further ill behavior.

Back in Atlanta, I remember running to wash off the hot dogs that got tossed on the floor so we could eat them. That is aggressiveness, know what I'm sayin'? Man, everyone makes mistakes.     He's making things up. Perhaps Pete is the one who told Hendry that Prior has, what was it, "no significant tearage"? Afterall, it wouldn't be surprising that a media type scooped the Cubs on a Prior injury...

    If the Cubs fire Dusty, he is going to be portrayed as the victim (in the Chicago media and elsewhere). Sad but true. Seattle can have him. Would it sweeten the pot to give them a MarinerfaninCA, too?

    The first 100 were pretty smooth. The last 20 or so sucked. But, hey, why use your best bullpen guys now? Its not like the Cubs have lost 14 out of 16. Dusty has control of every aspect of this team.
