His family seems thrilled that their son got signed by a major league team. I think they were actually worried cbbryan had just drafted him. A minute later you should have seen them. They were jumping around, cheering when they learned he had already been drafted by a different team. Was my prospect list circulated or what?

Didn't see you here and already put Maybin and Zimmerman on your roster. That's cool. BTW, how did you like my list? :D Much better than most picks I've seen so far. We'll see how many I actually get. My actual top 5 were already on other teams. Your actual Top 5? On a submitted list, or just your 5 top Minor Leaguers in your mind? The list I sent you was the list of favorites that are not on a roster. My actual top 5 would be a bit different if I could have anyone. You and the Red Sox guy had quite a few I wouldn't mind having.

It carried over from the MLB draft, so since the Bombers had the last pick in the MLB draft, he therefore has the first pick in the minor league draft. Kind of makes sense. Since he got the last pick in the major league draft and the order was done at random (I'm assuming), it makes sense that he gets the first pick of the minor league draft I just never saw that said thats why I was confused. So Aroids takes one more player and then we skip all the way down to the end with Bombers to start the first minor pick? No, the first 5 rounds are the MLB draft: So Nuke would take the last pick of the MLB draft and the first of the minor league draft.

Apparently he's a bad pick.................... I hope I keep making bad picks. Wasn't saying they were bad picks. Honestly just hadn't thought of Liriano. I would say you could have waited another round or two on him so it wasn't the best but not bad. Lackey was a good pick. As for my pick ... I'll make a small gamble and take Manny Ramirez. I don't like him as a player and with him not signed yet I'm a bit worried he will holdout for part of the season but his value is just too good at this spot. This gives me three of the top 4 guys in BA from last year, three guys who walk a lot, score runs, and hit homeruns. I guess offense is going to be my strength. I normally go pitching so we'll see how this works. You're probably just looking at 2008 stats. Liriano didn't pitch much because he came back in September. That said, he put up All-Universe numbers upon his return. In my eyes, he's as good.........maybe better than anyone in baseball.

You can have him didn't even consider him as a possible keeper. I'm now guaranteed one of the two people I wanted so I'm happy. Good for you. He's a legit #1 as is Lackey.
