The Cubs had better get in on this if that's all it takes. I don't think Abreu could be had for a couple of "b" prospects. Maybe I'm wrong, but during the offseason, they wanted a top-of-the-line starter. Why would things be different now? Because the Yankees are involved and it's ESPN reporting. I don't believe any of it. Besides that, Who would the Yanks trade for Abreau? If it is prospects, they don't have many. Abreau is to the Phillies as ManRam is to the Red Sox........always rumored to be going somewhere a few times a year and never gets traded. The Phils have a chance to make a playoff run...........why trade Abreau and if you did you'd have to have an impact player coming back to help them immediately. IMO, it just doesn't make much since from the Phils perspective to trade Abreau right now.
