Nobody. Teams DON'T usually TRADE for pitchers like Dempster already SIGN an extension. My guess is Milwaukee would be more interested in Scott Williamson then Dempster. And Corey Hart would be about right. I wouldn't say teams DON'T. It's unusual, but it happens. Dempster's extension really doesn't matter much to me and I would think it would get MORE from the Brew Crew because they know it's not a rental. If Dempster was Mariano Riveria I wouldn't trade him in the division, but we're talking about Dempster. I've never been wild about him. I know, I know he has done the job............... He's one of a long list of Cubs closers that have got the job done, but given me ulsers in the process. See Rod Beck as well. Besides, like any trade..... depending on what's offered you can make the trade anyway. Trade Demp, and work out an agreement w/ Wood to come back next year as a closer. I think he'd be great at it.
