  1. I'll have you know I'm sefectly pober !!! [hic] But wait, by the way you switched the letters around in those words it would seem that you arent completely sob.....oh wait....I get it. Whenever I read one of your posts I read them in my head with Kevin's voice tone. It makes them awesome. You should do that whenever you read anything....everything would be entertaining.

  3. I'm completely sober ditto EDIT: WOOOOOOO Mr. Jergins has just become a veteran.....and with such a compelling post.
  4. What about the maps that had NA on them that were written in the 2nd century? thats why math theory >>> computer science spaces dont matter means like 10 different things![/b] What about shut up....ever heard of it? haha, I think VanceJergins has officially turned into a cat in heat. kctigers has crossed me....and now he must suffer the assault of my barbed wit.
  5. who would you rather do, j.d. drew or alfonso soriano jd more like JUST DO (me) WAIT WAIT i want to change my answe i choose soriano (because i know that he sucks) Well, just like people are saying they would rather we sign both of them......I'm thinking threesome.
  6. Hendry was bidding against himself, creating a market that wasn't there, etc. Also he is fat and enjoys the occasional donut. He thought Soriano was spanish for krispy kreme.....get it....he's overwieght.

  8. Only because Theo knew all 32 GMs wanted Soriano so he just decided to go with plan B. There weren't any rumors that he wanted Soriano when Drew hadnt declared for free agency. There werent any rumors that Columbus was looking for America but that seems to be working out for everyone, now doesnt it?
  9. He's no GQ stud like Murton, be he's kinda cute.....well I mean....thats what I think girls would say.
  10. For #2, the Honorable Bruce Miles said with some certainty that he would be playing RF. Are they committed to J. Jones in CF or is that just smoke and mirrors? Sorry if this has been discussed. Heh, considering the thread size I'm sure it has. This is mostly speculation, but I see very little chance that Jones is a Cub next year.
  11. There have been a few sources say the Cubs got him wanting him to bat leadoff. Also, his stats seem to show he's more comfortable and performs better batting leadoff. Didn't Bruce say he'd be leading off? All I remember Bruce saying today is that he'll be playing RF, which is different than what we'd been hearing, so maybe his spot in the order will change too....But Bruce might have said that. Yes, Bruce said he would lead off. Well just rub it my face then, jerk. =;

  15. Keep drinking the kool-aid, sheep! Well c'mon, I am one of the ones that knows our money is best spent in 1 milllion different placecs. I know what his OPS+ was in 2004 and 2005. I am just saying...at least we're not making Sosa for Hairston lateral moves anymore. KOOL-AID!!!! YOU DRINK KOOL-AID!!!!......I'm so starved for attention.

  17. I predict the Cubs next move will be trading Soriano to the Tigers in exchange for the release of one Neifi Perez.
  18. Can we please stop with the 8 years until we actually find out the terms of the contract? If the contract is 6/90MM with two team or vesting option, that would be a big difference from a straight up guaranteed 8/136MM contract. Agreed. I have a feeling this might turn out like the Aramis situation. Everyone getting pissy over the original reports and then come to find out Hendry did a great job.

  20. I'm having fun. :thumleft: (don't these things make non-premium people curious what the heck this is for or what it looks like?) They most certainly do... but not like $50 curious. (Sorry Tim, broke college student here) Aw, c'mon...it's like eating at the dorm instead of McDonald's one time each month! Those drugs and hookers dont buy themselves.
  21. he is a good player, but he's also overrated. he's being paid like one of the best players in baseball, and he clearly isn't. How is he overrated? Please no stats involved. Your opinion. And I agree with you that he doesn't deserve to get a $136 million dollar contract. But I will never consider him to be overrated. i think jacque jones is better than albert pujols. prove me wrong...oh, and please no stats involved. Pujols is the games best fastball hitter. He has great plate discipline, plays a solid D at 1B, gets on base, hits for power, hits for a high average, team player, and he runs the bases well. And he has a MVP award. Qualifiers like "best" "great" "solid" "high" and "well" are just rudimentary stats... they're obviously a ranking relative to the rest of the league. And that MVP award is certainly a stat. So basically your argument for Pujols over Jones without using stats is that he's a "team player." I propose to you that Jacque Jones is on a team as well. This debate is a draw. Dont you guys watch ESPN? Jeter is the best player in baseball, this debate is meaningless.
  22. The Cubs can do better, but Theriot is better than Izturis so I would rather have him start. I would rather have someone like Lugo, but still Theriot over Izturis.
  23. So here is what we are (pretty) sure of so far: 1B: Lee 2B: DeRosa 3B: Ramirez LF: Murton RF: Soriano C: Barrett Zambrano Hill Miller/Prior (if healthy) Question Marks: 1.) SS: I think we are still after Lugo and the CF talk is to not show we're trying to trade Izturis....?wishful thinking? 2.) CF: I'm convinced Jones is as good as gone. 3.) 2 SP: Cotts may be one, several other names mentioned If the budget is 115m, then we have around 15m left. I think we'll go past that. I think we have a good core so far but need a few more pieces. What does everything think our next move will be or should be?
  24. I know he played a decent amount in the minors, not sure exactly how much.
