Dont get used to it, because Lou wont use him again for 2 weeks From what I have seen I would give him the ball over Heilman or Shark. -
He wants to see him not screw up for a period of time being that he has only been free for a couple of days. Vick can thank players like Adam Jones for this kind of treatment.

I wouldn't trust Gregg as much as Guzman and Marmol to get some of the outs that they have gotten. I still prefer them to be in the roles that they are in, but I have come to like Gregg a whole lot more than I did in April. At least with Guzman stepping up we can move Marmol into the closer role next season.

Interesting. With the "Steriod" era now having taken place, I guess its good to at least review everything here. With what I currently know I am in the place of wanting Rose in the HOF but that could change with any new evidence on what he did. http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/news/story?id=4358260

I hate Mexican fans more than any other in sports. there are some that are fine, but the others take the cake. I just hope either Bradley or Onyewu knock the piss out of Gio in a couple of weeks.

I could care less about his ego. The problem is that he's ten times the baseball announcer than anyone in the Cubs booth, both the TV and radio side. I don't want to be friends with him, I just want a quality baseball broadcast. I used to think so, but I don't miss him anymore My thoughts exactly, especially during the Joe Carter days.

Outside of Dos Santos, Mexico has shown little. I thought we outplayed them in the 1st half, and it is loud and pretty much a road game for the US.

I'm almost certain we'll lose. However, if we do win, it's going to be a giant blow to their psyche. Our midfield needs to not get overrun. WIth Gio in the form he's in right now, that might prove tricky. I expect to lose, but I also think this is a must win for Mexico. Hopefully the US will come out gunning in the first 25 minutes.

I still think he will be a pretty successful NFL TE. Snead will definitely be an NFL QB methinks. But as big of an ole miss homer I am right now, I'd definitely have to go for Tebow if I was voting for best QB in the conference. Yep, we've talked about this before. I want to see him progress more this year, but he could be the best of the bunch that includes Bradford and McCoy in terms of NFL Prostyle QB.

I still think he will be a pretty successful NFL TE. has he proven he can catch a pass or run routes or consistently block speed rushers? Its not a given, nor is it a huge stretch either. I realize how much you hate him though, but he is a damn good athlete with great size and strength. There's no doubt that he's a gifted athlete. I'm just saying that the NFL is full of good athletes (most probably more athletic than Tebow), and it's extremely rare that you just show up and start playing a position you haven't played before. I agree and it would take several years for that transition to become complete. I just think he is one of the few that can make that switch.

Voting for another potential Heisman finalist and potential top 5 NFL draft pick in Sneed is not that big of a stretch either. I wish the rest of SEC/ESPN would unlock their jaws off of Tebows...

Isn't he out of baseball? I agree though...Choi got pretty screwed during his time in the majors. He didn't seem to be the same player after that nasty head injury I think during the Yankees series.

Everything I've heard says the Brewers are not willing to part with what it's going to take to get Halladay. So at least there's that. From what Ive heard, the Phillies are the favorite, and The Brewers are their biggest threat with the Cardinals still very much in it. The reason its not smart for teh Brewers is a team like the Phillies can trade top prospects and then be able to afford to go out and buy more players, while smaller market teams the Brewers rely on those propects for the future. If the Cards get Holliday and Halladay, crap. I know, its almost impossible, but, but if they did, crap. They won't have a farm system after that should it happen, but it would be worth it to them.

Yeah, let's trade Vitters so we can have a catcher for 3 weeks. We might not have to give Vitters, but we may have to give Soto + good prospects for him. Only? I would definitely not make that trade Good to see JeffH with his usual.
