  1. Well, how big a guy are you? It's about like a XL t-shirt, and yours for $50... It's an official jersey too.
  2. You're either with us or against us. That is a much better policy. I giggled.
  3. And this is what it all boils down to. WELL put. If Sosa has some problem with it, the situation is really pretty much the bed he made.
  4. Bud Selig is a criminal. It won't surprise me if he does this, then throws his hands up in the air when the whole world is pissed at him.
  5. Also for sale..... http://images12.fotki.com/v197/photos/4/41654/155762/GabbyKids07122005029-vi.jpg
  6. I've got a couple official jerseys from the (I believe) 95 or 96 season that I'll sell for cheap. Here are a couple pics. http://images7.fotki.com/v113/photos/4/41654/155762/JORDAN10122004005-vi.jpg http://images8.fotki.com/v108/photos/4/41654/155762/JORDAN10122004006-vi.jpg Neither have ever been worn, no names/numbers on back, both size 48 - which is I believe around an XL. 52 is HUGE and I usually wear XXL myself.
  7. FWIW, I called Dish Network tonight and inquired about this rumor. The operator said they still plan on carrying the MLB EI package. I guess I will call DirecTV and get their side too.
  8. Can you imagine how good the Cubs will be if Floyd is somewhat healthy? That's a legitimate #5 hitter. And what if Prior can find a way to make 30 starts? We have plenty of depth on the bench, a pretty solid infield, and a possibly good rotation. Lots of "ifs," but we could have a pretty nice team here. Who knows if a trade can be pulled off for a better shortstop. We have the outfielders to dispose of.
  9. Well, if you have trouble getting any for the Wednesday or Thursday game, let me know. I have a friend who is a Ranger, and I may or may not be able to get some tickets for those games. I'd be happy to get one for you if you need it (if I can get it). Just let me know if you hit a wall.
  10. Lance, mark me down for 4 tickets. Let me know if you run short, and I know I can get more bodies if you need it. Will you mail me the tickets or are they those "E tickets" or what. Lemmeno, and I'll zap you the $$ via paypal. You da man. I am in Shreveport. If you need to we can caravan or whatever. Thanks again.
  11. You better make sure Raffy isn't coming over.
  12. They don't. I have been using some guys subscription for about 5 years now. My cousin went to U of I with him, that's all I know.
  13. You can interact with the players at the Ballpark in Arlington, but as you know it isn't anything like Wrigley. The wall is about 15 feet high and there is a good distance between the top of the wall and the stands. It's a great place to watch a game, though. The dates are Tuesday June 19, Wed. the 20th, and Thursday the 21st. Game times are set as 7:35, 7:35, and 1:05 - respectively.
  14. Well, there are a few factors, nothing REAL big. * I have been a Dish Network customer for about 6 years, now - and I have been extremely happy. * I am locked into some pretty good deals with Dish Network. * There is a totally different channel scheme between the two dishes. This is a problem that would go away when we learn all the new channels, but after years of knowing where to go, it would be a royal pain in the arse to relearn hundreds of channels. * DirecTV has already served me a BAD taste. They called me telling me lies like Dish Network was shutting down, and I would never get a deal like the one they were offering me. I asked them if they could give me all of the programming I had with DN, plus the EI package that I had already paid for - and they said absolutely. The DirecTV contractors came out and took down our old dishes and put in theirs, then when they called in to activate the service, the DirecTV operator told me that my monthly bill would be almost $30 MORE per month, and I had to pay for the EI package AGAIN if I wanted it with them. We got the original salesman on the phone, and he crawfished - then admitted to offering me those rates (even though it was impossible). I told them "no deal" and made the contractors pull down the DirecTV stuff and reinstall my DishNetwork stuff. Quite the ordeal. I did tip the contractor for all his work, though. Wasn't his fault. Believe me, I will give switching a good look regardless.
  15. That's exactly the case, assuming the deal doesn't fall through at the last minute. It will be just like Sunday Ticket. Everything else will be the same, in terms of getting your local team's games, national telecasts on WGN, TBS, FOX, ESPN, etc. Some here are suggesting MLB.tv as an alternative. Well, that sucks big time. Here in NW Louisiana - all we get is WGN, which is only good for a game a week. I loved being able to watch the Cubs whenever I had time, not to mention skimming other games to see who was doing what. This is a tremendous disservice to baseball fans, which is what we really have come to expect from Bud Selig and MLB.
  16. Sorry, I didn't read through some of the recent pages of this thread yet - but what is being said is that DISHNETWORK will NOT be getting the MLB sports package? So if we want to have this package, we have to get DirecTV? Please tell me this isn't the case!
  17. Vance, I will definately be interested. I am going to check with my buddy's agent first - he said he was going to get me tickets. I'll be in touch, but you can most likely put me down for 3 or 4. Good idea.
  18. BTW - there are a TON of game-used stuff by the Cubs on Ebay right now. Just go to Ebay and type in "Cubs game used" and look at the impressive list.
  19. THIS could be the mother of all Cubs game-used items on Ebay: http://cgi.ebay.com/Chicago-Cubs-Neifi-Perez-Tony-Womack-Game-Used-Caps_W0QQitemZ110082464005QQihZ001QQcategoryZ50117QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem http://i8.ebayimg.com/05/i/000/86/6c/1b76_2.JPG Neifi Perez & Tony Womack game used hats.
  20. I have the DLee figure on my desk right now, and he had the road cap, blue jersey, and grey pants. I also have the Ramirez one, and he is in pinstripes (each stripe is grooved into the figure too, so it seems if they make different uniforms on the figures - which they sometimes do - they would have to remake the whole figure if it involved a pinstriped uni).
  21. I could see: Murton, Jones, & Izturis to Baltimore for Tejada. Just kidding.
  22. Ummmmm... wasn't Soriano under arbitration last offseason? Is Selig really that much of an imbecil? Or am I the imbecil for missing out on the memo? Yeah, he did go through arbitration last year. If I remember correctly, wasn't he traded and the Nats were trying to dump him or something? I know he strongly resisted the move to the OF, and no one was biting. Right?
  23. Selig probably told the Cubs that they could have had Soriano for 10 million a year if they would have signed him LAST offseason.
  24. I think those are just like the WBC BP jerseys. I got a Dominican one and it looks just like that. They are pretty nice. I am glad the Navy Blue is gone...
