My only ND game this year will be Stanford... Troy Smith, Chris Leak, Brian Brohm, Ginn, Michael Bush, Steve Slaton, Sam Keller and Pat White round out Fox Sports's top 10 Heisman candidates after Quinn and Peterson, but at least at the start of the season it looks to me like a two-horse race between the latter two unless Smith keeps up the form he exhibited at the Fiesta (not entirely likely because it won't get much easier than ND's 2005 secondary). I would even go so far as to consider Quinn the favorite solely because he's a quarterback. If both players put up great numbers, a quarterback is usually going to have the advantage over a running back. A QB's Heisman chances are wrapped up in the record of the team. With a team like ND if he loses more than one game I don't think Quinn wins it.
