    I am getting excited for the World Cup to get started. I really am not a soccer fan at all but love watching athletes at the highest form in any sport. Throw in playing for there country, sounds good.

    I traded Gagne for Chris Capuano (SP) Brewers. Was that a decent trade.

    If none of the other ideas work and you don't mind paying face value for really good seats, I'd call or go to the Cubs ticket booth the day before or even the day of and check to see if any season ticket holders/tribune ticket holders have released their tickets for resale. I had a lot of luck with this prior to the existence of places like stubhub.com. Who knows? I think those tickets go to Prime Time Ticketing or whatever the cubs ticket brokers name is. :x

    If the Cubs have all 6 of those pitchers. Miller should be the odd man out. Chances are Miller won't be here next year and Marshall will. Would be a bad idea to ruin Marshall's confidence for next year.

    I am with you there. Jordon may have traveled quite a bit. All Shaq does is foul people and only gets called for it 1/4 of the time.

    So hopefully it's Iowa and then Chicago. It would be good to see him while I'm there for a week of games.

    You may want to check Cubs.com a couple of days before game day. I don't know this, but it seems to me that more seats get opened up when it comes closer to the actual day of the game. Especially since you are talking about Weekday games.

    And you consider yourself a true fan? :lol: I was sitting at home and I was about to call it quits. Not to mention I wasn't paying a sitter $12 an hour. $12.00 an hour are you insane. What were they a member of some Babysitting Union. :lol: I don't have kids or live in St. Louis but that seems like a lot.

    Haha. Let's stop pretending. You're never leaving. None of us here gets out alive :) Oh, I'll still show up here to chat and talk and complain, but I'll be emotionally done. I'm tired of investing my emotional energy in this team. Here's how it's going to go down. The cubs will make a mini run in June. Dusty's contract will be extended. Cub fan's will start to get emotionally attached to the team again. Then guess what they will suck again.

    Here's to the Mav's sweeping the Heat. At the very least the ref's calling some of the 50 fouls Shaq will commit in the Finals. Yes I hate Shaquille O'neal.

    I have four closers. Joe Nathan (Twins), Ryan Dempster (Cubs), Trevor Hoffman (Padres), and Eric Gagne (Dodgers). I think 4 is to many so I thought about trading one of them. Since Gagne is coming off the DL I thought about trading him. As I think he may have an inflated trade value because he's Gagne. What are some thoughts on this.

    I like Truffles numbers better. I am only 11 out of second to last place instead of 18. Either way I am doing my best to hold onto last place.

    They asked Dusty in the press conference about the altercation in the 4th between AJ and Carlos. His responce well I really didn't see it I was watching Juan Pierre. Does this man see anything.

    Just took a break from mowing the lawn to see what's going on with the game. My last check in was when the Sox went up 4-2. Well this doesn't suck. :D

    Quite simply Dusty didn't defend MB because he's not one of his boy's. You know the kind of player that has talent.

    Here is why Stone would be a poor GM. His personality rubs many people the wrong way. At best he's an opportunist at worst he's a back staber. When you are the GM, 2 of your most important functions are signing free agents and making trades. I feel his personality would hurt him in both aspect. 1. When you trade players, if the other team feels you are trying to rip them off they are not likely to work with you. 2. If a free agent feels like the first slump that he goes through means he is going to be shipped out he will not sign with that team. Any quality Free Agent would not sign with the Cubs. Really don't care either way about Bob Brenly.
