  1. Ok, my brackets are officially ruined now.
  2. Any reason for that? He's the best coach in the MVC in my opinion. Yeah you can point to to his struggles at K-State but there are many reasons for that. By the way I don't think the Iowa job will come open. I have to agree with you about Alford not leaving for IU. For the simple fact that Bobby Knight and Alford have a good relationship. That alone would keep the IU Athletic Department away from Alford. If Alford would leave I am kind of glad ISU hired Mcdermott. I don't think he's ready for prime time just yet. Believe me there would have been a lot of pressure to hire him. 7 years ago Iowa got a coach who wasn't ready for prime time now they are probably worse off.
  3. When I first heard this I thought oh no. But then I thought how they have been treating Prior so this is not a surprise. There is one thing everyone must remember it is March. I think if we can get through April we will be alright. I think Wood may be back in early May. While Wade Miller may be available in Mid May. We just need to step away from the ledge a little and look at the situation for what it is.
  4. Lets see here, the Big East got 8 of 16 teams in. That makes 50%. While the Big Ten got 6 of 11 teams in. That makes 54.5%. Illiniguy has already mentioned the RPI. I give the edge to the Big Ten. It's pretty easy to be good when you have 4 to 6 more teams than any other major conference. Please don't mention Cincinatti not getting in, because the Big Ten has Michigan.
  5. That's exactly what happened a few years ago. During Davis' first year (when he was interim coach) Alford was considered the next likely IU coach, and IU played Iowa in the championship game of the Big Ten tournament (Iowa won). It almost turned out to be deja vu all over again, as Yogi would say. Yep with 5 minutes left, Packer said it was "the most important 5 minutes in the history of these two programs" for what it would mean with the coaching situation. Then during the trophy presentation he asked Alford if he was planning on taking the IU job. Nice tact Billy. If Iowa wins we will hear that same exact question. CBS just needs to fire this guy. He picks the team he wants to win and researches them but finds out nothing about the other team.
  6. nm
  7. But they are going on probation. Does anyone know what the penalties are? Not really much. They have to take there '99 final four appearance banner down. Scholorship's are going to be reduced. I think that's it.
  8. Since Iowa is going to beat OSU anyway why am I having this discussion. I'm sorry I will take my black and gold sunglasses off.
  9. Like I said no matter what OSU does they are not getting a #1 seed.
  10. OSU is not getting a number 1 seed no matter what.
  11. Am I ever glad IU didn't beat OSU. You would be hearing 24 hours of Steve Alfords present team vs. His possible future team.
  12. I'm new around here but you named your daughter Addison. That's great.
  13. If Dusty does that he might as well start looking for a new job.
  14. Serious question... Would it still be considered bleachers if it had backs to the seats? Bleachers in the name alone means it should not have a back. But the real travesty with the bleacher box seats is that it's assigned seating.
  15. They are still doing on average 2 casts a week in the Off season. I think that's impressive. I really don't know of any other Cub podcasts out there.
  16. I was looking what I got for tickets again I noticed that my Sat. Detroit game has the same exact sec. row and seat as my Sunday Detroit game. I did not click on the Wrigley field map on the ticketing page. All I did was click on the Field box OF button. Kind of weird.
  17. If you want to go to a weekday game there are plenty of tickets available right now.
  18. Don't worry about the E-mails guys they seem to be taking a long time. But they will be coming. I was thinking the same thing about where's my E-mail until I got mine.
  19. You got in twice? Yes I did within 5 minutes of each other.
  20. I began to type it's going to be like last year and I won't get in until like 1:00 PM. Then I got in June 17 and 18.
  21. I got 50 still nothing.
  22. I am going for June 13 - 18 Houston and Detroit. Also going for May 12 and 13. Since Detroit is interleague I hope it's not going to be to hard to get compared to just a regular game.
  23. I have not read this whole thread but the thing you have to remember about Bonds is even if he was on the juice he was still a good player. I still think he would have hit say 500 homers if he was clean. Which probably would put him in the HOF any way.
  24. Score management may have got the hint, if you listen to there station promo's it has changed from Listen to the Sox on WSCR to we talk about Cubs baseball on WSCR.
  25. Do you get CSC in Janesville??? I'm orginally from Greene and they get FSN North on cable (although I believe Direct tv includes CSC as their "local" sports channel). Yes I do. Mediacom started offering it last April just in time for Baseball season.
