He hit .276 .342 .504 .846 last year in 272 PA and posted positive UZR in both CF and RF. I doubt he has much left in the tank, but he certainly didn't suck last year.

In 1999, opposing hitters had a line of .205/.248/.288/.536 off Pedro despite a .325 BABIP, 43 points higher than his career average. Ridiculous. And yeah, good article. And he still had the lowest H/9 in the league. 1997-2003 Pedro is the sickest pitching MLB has ever seen. I don't know how it can even be debated. 118-36 2.20 ERA 213 ERA+ 0.940 WHIP 11.3 K/9 5.59 K/BB During the absolute peak of the steroid era. We all know this, but it still shocks me to look at the numbers.

The funniest thing about all the meatheads offering up Rivers as an example of how Cutler should have played through it is that Rivers was pulled from the game when he actually got hurt. It was the week before against Indy. He got hurt in the 4th quarter, was pulled from the game and Billy Volek led the Chargers to the come from behind win. He played the following week after having 6 days to test it and have braces specifically designed and still sucked.

I can't see it mattering all that much anyway. In all likelihood it won't matter. I would have much rather had the Jets, but... I think it will be damn good game though.

I really don't know what their war room thinks. They desperately need playmakers, but Spags is a big character guy so... I'm a bit of a Rams fan so I hope they don't see what a lot of Rams fans thought they saw this year. They easily could have been a 3-4 win team IMO. They've got a couple pieces, but the coaching is awful and they don't have an offensive threat outside of Jackson, who is aging and likely to age rapidly.
