oh come on. ibanez ws a 37 year old .830 OPS corner outfielder with terrible defense. don't act like it was some stupid decision to pass on him because he's been awesome for the first month. and lol at the abreu comment. he has 5 xbh's total so far, and none of them are homers. he's hitting a flukey .343 and still only has a .799 OPS. when that average drops back to normal levels, his overall numbers are going to look really really bad, especially for a guy with really bad defense. mmm...you must have not read my responses on this signing of bradley before it WAS a stupid decision, and i guarantee you that he will have better numbers than milton at the end of 2009... so you knew before the season that he was suddenly going to go from mediocre to awesome? It wouldn't take much foresight to think that Ibanez would be healthy and produce well, especially in a hitters park with a good lineup. Bradley was an upside signing, everyone knew it. I like Bradley much more, but the health factor is still there and meaningful. I have no doubt that if Bradley remains healthy he will outproduce Ibanez, however, that's a big if.
