The talent Larry had mostly got better, not worse. (Hill, Zambrano, Dempster when he got regular work) I recall Hendry also signing two guys named Howry and Eyre...and if they continue to sign proven pitchers rather than trying to make AA pitchers into major leaguers, then the numbers will get better. A man is only as good as the ingredients he's given to work with.
