  2. 3-2 Rockies top 7 Marshall went 4 giving up 2
  3. Maybe Dusty feels guilty for what he put Patterson through with the Cubs, and this is his way of paying back saying "See, I told you that if you follow my plan you'll be a great ballplayer."
  4. Does anyone know how Wood looked? How long Hill went?
  5. According to ESPN it's 6-4 Rockies in the 5th. It is usually at least a half inning behind though. No box score available.
  6. Is Cedeno playing short? Was it him that made the questionable throw home in the last inning?
  7. Not all "first years" are equal. And score runs? Are you kidding? How is that a good measure? Not a great measure at all, but OBP/OPS, defense combined with that create a comparison to justify why Cedeno has to take the position away from Theriot, rather than hand him a second chance.
  8. In his defense, two infield singles and a grounder to short (that should have been an out) along with 2 doubles and a walk.
  9. how about what he did at AAA last season? isn't that enough to show you he deserves another shot? once again, what has Ryan Theriot done to deserve the job? To deserve the job ahead of Cedeno, he managed to get on base and score runs while playing decent defense: In their first full year above Iowa: Cedeno 2006 .271 .339 obp/slg; 92 runs+rbi; 23 errors, 24 years old 537AB Theriot 2007 .326 .336 obp/slg 125 runs+rbi; 8 errors (300 fewer innings though), 28 years old 534AB I'm not saying that Theriot is a savior by any means, but he beats Cedeno in first-year MLB production.
  10. What's Cedeno actually done to prove that he's a MLB caliber starter though? He had a golden opportunity in 2006 and failed. I'm not against giving him another shot but he has to show more than he is now for sure. he was 23 And is now 25. Like I said, he needs to show something more than he is to justify another opportunity or risk being labeled as a AAAA player never losing the "prospect" label. Don't get me wrong though, I'd love to see him at short but he can't be a guaranteed hole in the lineup. He has to beat out Theriot.

  12. It's looked pretty bad all ST. I know it's only spring training, but I think it's time Lou give this lineup some work and let them swing their way out of their slump. I don't buy the thinking that we'll just start hitting in two weeks in a frigid Wrigley Field. The pitching and defense have looked solid for the most part, but the offense has been non-existent. Dusty would say it was playing in the cold weather, but I completely agree. Why not come out of ST swinging the bats well?
  13. It was hard to tell if he was nervous or just lame. Sorry about that. I was nervous and Brenly smelled like tuna.
  14. I have the same calendar. Just out of curiosity, was yours messed up for the entire month of Feb? Mine was missing days, days out of order etc.
  15. 1-0 A's in the 4th, right? According to ESPN...
