    My wife has colitis, as does a good friend. There are treatments and watching your diet very carefully is absolutely critical. Most people get into trouble when the first develop colitis and don't really understand it or know what is going on. While it's not common, it does tend to run in families. Irritable Bowel Syndrome can develop as well and this is usually where the intense weight loss occurs. During flareups steroids are the most common treatment. It is dangerous but not a death sentence.

    Ramirez wasn't drilled, his jersey got grazed. I don't agree with putting guys on base for free when the SP can't get outs. At the time it wasn't obvious that Marshall had nothing. But the fact remains, two of your guys got hit. I would have brushed Rollins back at a minimum.

    I would have liked to see Marshall drill someone after Rammy and Floyd were drilled. Intentional or not, your gotta send a message.

    With the way the Brewers started the season I didn't think that 8 games over .500 would put the Cubs in first. But I'll take it. GO CUBS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    I think it's important to keep in mind that while we may received some fantastic prospects, the loss of Z would leave a huge hole in the rotation.

    Seconded. Anyone remember when Dusty admitted he didn't know the starter's pitch count after a ballgame? It was either Prior or Z that threw 120 or something like that.

    We are in a pennant race, so playing through slumps is out the door this year. You either produce or you don't play. As has been said before, if you bench a guy in a slump, you're not going to get the hot streak that will come in the future. I'm still waiting for Kendall hot streak. Or was that last night? What, two soft singles didn't do it for ya?

    Petrick didn't look good last night. He couldn't find the zone and when he occasionally got lucky enough to find it, the ball was hit hard. It had been several days since he last pitched and I'm guessing he was rusty.

    I'm on 1 league. I've been hammered by injuries and poor pitching performances. I've had some success with Fausto Carmona and Jeff Francis of late, but overall my pitching staff has been a huge disappointment. I'm in 7th out of 12 teams in a h2h league, but I started the year 0-5 so there is hope.
