  1. is that supposed to be a joke? the fact that i cant tell speaks to how bad of a writer that guy is
  2. skiles has never really been a very successful coach anywhere. all hes done is take good nba teams and get them to perform as they should or underachieve a little.
  3. clemens is a joke. hopefully he goes the way of rose
  4. what kind of sanctions is IU gonna face? :D
  5. that win might propel them to a playoff birth and another first round loss. its too bad luongo is being wasted on that vancouver team. such a great goalie but has absolutely no talent around him and wont sniff a cup unless major changes are made
  6. So when is the IU apology coming for their fan behavior? Im sure they plan on issuing it soon For what? The Uconn game? If so, it has already been done. Several of the players did some PSA's that they played on the video board during the game. What does it matter anyway? IU didn't make them issue a statement. How about for mister attention whore and his salute to the Illini fans? Class pure class You don't issue an apology for one fan flipping the bird after being heckled all game. If that were the case, you would have A.D.'s issuing apologies after every Big Ten road game. Come on. Gordon Sr. is probably an attention whore, but if he and his family actually was hit by beads, it's not stunning that he would have something to say on his way out. For the record I don't think anything I actually saw was out of line. I'm just saying that when everyone in college basketball outside of your fans is blasting you today, it's probably not the right time to complain about class from others. For all of the Indiana people that were outraged by it, do you remember what you did to Luke Recker when he came back to Assembly Hall 5 years ago? He got the same treatment as Gordon, maybe worse. Had attention whore daddy not put himself out in the limelight and let his son get the attention, nothing would have happened to daddy dearest, hell nobody would have even known who he was. Daddy dearest put himself out there, had he been a normal parent, it would have just been heckling, but attention whore couldnt let that happen. He got his attention by supposedly being hit with beads, hes probably lucky thats all he was hit with honestly. They both got what they deserved, and daddy got what he was asking for, more attention towards him. As for the people blasting "us" screw them, they dont even know the story, but they want, and needed something to latch on to and are basically telling half of it. Oh well, just more proof the media is filled with ignorant, uninformed, loud mouth blowhards. What did he do last night that put himself out there more than a "normal parent"? He's lucky that he and his family were only hit with beads? Wow. That's just nutty. He might be a total attention whore and clown but he still has a right to go to the game and see his son play. Unless he is inciting something AT the game (which I don't think he did) he should be kept free from harm. Boo all you want, but you just look like a total nutjob when you say he deserved to be hit with something and is lucky it wasn't worse. It's college basketball man. how is standing up, turning around, and swearing at / taunting fans not inciting? anyway, hopefully he corrects his relationship with his son or both will need some serious therapy. it is not normal or healthy for a middle aged man to live through his son
  7. i don't get why there has to be an apology (other than the intense media attention). yes the "f you gordon" chants were not a good thing, but it was only a small part of the student ticket section, and no one joined in. other than that what is there to apologize for? throwing beads at some guy whose living vicariously through his son and cussing out/flipping off every illini fan in sight in the process??? whatever. the media in this country is a joke. it was not nearly as bad as it is made out to be.
  8. Gordon chose the right school. His drama queen controlling dad fits eight in with sampson.
  9. By the way, McCamey is gonna be a great player
  10. hey at least they aren't god awful at basketball like they are at football
  11. people are whining about a chest bump? wow some people are seriously incredibly sheltered or just out of touch with reality. who cares?
  12. and theres no way a talented young QB could develop over time
  13. why is the clcok stopped?
  14. tom brady, burress was maybe giving you too much credit with those 17 points
  15. they'll die off soon enough
  16. Yea, it's not like the Pats got shafted when the Giants fumbled and somehow came up with the ball after Woods clearly recovered and was down. The refs are trying to give it to the Pats, for sure. he didnt recover that fumble, it was in his legs. he never even had possession of it. The Pats guy fell on it and the ball was underneath his chest/stomach. I don't know where you saw the ball in his legs. on FOX

  18. that penalty was ridiculous. he was trying to recover the ball and gets a flag cus the pats get an unleaky break.
  19. i bet he puts 0 points up here.
  20. rodney harrison took a little too much meth before the game.
  21. brady hasn't practiced yet apparently
  22. Savard called out the Lang and Havlat after the game vs. the bluejackets. http://www.dailyherald.com/story/?id=121114
  23. i dont mind that play at all i think most teams have a guy who would step up if a goalie was doing what biron did earlier that game, i know if a goalie did that to a kane or havlat id hope someone would stand up for them..
  24. he barely shoved downie it looks like. too bad downie couldn't really get a taste of his own medicine, but laraque was smart to hold up. maybe a 1 or 2 game suspension, downie definitely knew he was coming and put himself in that position while playing the puck. laraque definitely held up, if he went full out downie would be in the hospital. these types of hits are more dangerous than the one put on dean mcammond. 20 games for charging? that's a joke. it's mcammond's fault that he had his head down; downie did deserve a couple of games for leaving his feet like he did, but hits like the one laraque put on downie are the ones that can result in a guy not walking ever again. and you have to be crazy to think he "barely shoved him" - you can see on the slow-motion that his arms are fully extended as he delivers the check. he could've easily grabbed downie and ridden him into the boards, instead he delivered a check with the intention of putting him headfirst into the boards. IMO the 20 game suspension was a good one because it sent a message that guys going for headshots wont be tolerated, in the last few years the number of those type of blindside headshot hits have gone way up. they are very dangerous and someone was bound to get seriously hurt if the league didnt step in and stop them. on the other hand hits like laraques are bound to happen, heck another flyer did one earlier this year vs. boston and got 1-2 games. i expect nothing more for laraque. they are dangerous but everyone who plays hockey knows that some of the fault falls on the guy who gets hit in that situation. downie put himself in a dangerous spot and was lucky laraque didnt go full out.....laraque didnt even "Check" him he shoved him, it was smart of him to not finish the check..
