I've been listening all day too. I didn't know people like you existed Haha. I've been listening to see if Jones would be traded today. It's like my 3rd time I've ever listened to the Score. I seriously wonder if all these guys are mentally challenged. I've never heard such terrible programming. Try listening to St. Louis sports talk for five minutes. They make Mike Murphy sound intelligent.

    This guy is either a real attention-seeking tool or got some bad information. Like I said before, I'll be the first to give you credit if you were right. But... It would be reported somewhere reputable by now. With all the people at Wrigley already, and all the media sources out there, someone would have picked it up and gotten it on the air.

    It is when you consider that nobody else on the roster can play SS for more than an emergency fill-in role... which means it's going to be all Izturis all the time. Bingo. Izturis has been outplaying Theriot. As the starting SS, Theriot has been abysmal. There's a negligible difference defensively, and Theriot is a better bet to produce offensively going forward, despite what he's done in an small sample at SS. Izturis has had so many chances to drive in runs and only has 8 RBI! Theriot still has better numbers than Izturis. The decision to me at least is simple, get rid of thr overpriced bum Izturis. Agreed 100%. The only reason Izzy is on this roster is for defense. But his defense sucks! Cut bait Jim!

    I heard Ofman (I think it was him) say the same thing about 30 minutes ago. Now his update just said Jacque is on his way to the park and has not yet been informed of the trade.

    670 just said Theriot is going down today, but didn't say who is coming up. Guess Jacque will be warming the end of the bench for at least another night.

    Not reading this whole thread, so sorry if this has been mentioned already. The box score shows Barrett off to a rousing start at the new home. 0-2, 2 K's...and a PB.

    Next Tuesday is/was Barrett Jersey day at the park, and next Sunday was supposed to be Barrett bobblehead day! They should make a Z bobble-arm (with a solid punching motion) to go with it.

    If it's Bowen and a low-level prospect, then I guess it's a wash at best. Maybe just addition by subtraction.

    Peavy should have gotten more than a slap on the wrist. Surprised Young got the same as Lee. I don't think MLB was faulting him for throwing a punch in self-defense. Sounds like they think he was throwing at Lee.
