    Oh, now I'm jealous. Spent quite a bit of time up there. Beautiful area. That indian casino (Lac Vieux Desert?) allowed me to play when I was under 21 too. 8-) Man, I love it up here !! Only downside is, my cellular internet connection only works about a quarter of the time at the house where we are staying, and even then, it's slower than the seven year itch !! I have to drive all the way to Eagle River, WI (where I'm at right now) to find a Wi-Fi connection. As far as the indian casino goes, I haven't actually been there myself, but I can tell you that around these parts, very few laws are administered very strictly. It's a different world !! I was just in Eagle River..Its amazing up there..Which casino are you going to? Theres one across the river in Watersmeet,MI Spent most of my summers as a kid in Eagle River, clowning around out on Yellow Birch Lake. Great times.

    i think that was carp's tommy john surgery You should've seen the Post Dispatch earlier this week. Big article on how the 7 games against the Cubs and Brewers was their chance to get back into it. A last hurrah, if you will. I thought it was amusing. The last two "game recap" articles in the Post have started out by saying something like, "in a do-or-die stretch for the Cards" or "the Cards chance to make up ground." Sort of looked at this week as a last chance. Talk radio consensus was that 5-2 this week would keep them in the hunt. Guess that's not an option anymore.

    Does Uecker always work without a color guy? He's a good listen, just took a few minutes to realize there wasn't a second voice chiming in.
