  1. That's a tough one. I think SD though.
  2. Backs against the wall, at home, hopefully we'll get a good performance and a full house (no no-shows).
  3. I so badly want Ronnie to get in, especially while he can still enjoy it. He'd probably pull some tears out of me during his speech.
  4. OMFG yes. I would watch that.

    Braylon

I've clinched a playoff spot, so I'd actually be getting him for Week 15...against the Bears. Yeah, perhaps I should go do that. Now. EDIT: I went ahead and picked up Moore. In Week 16 (our championship week) he plays the Lions. Heh. So it was a pretty easy call. It came down to him or Berrian, but I trust Brees more than Frerotte. Odd thing about our league though. After 10 FA pickups or team-to-team trades, you have to pay $6 to the pot per transaction. Champ gets the cash. So this was like my 14th move. Not that it deterred me, because I was scared of playing Edwards and had no other option. Just never been in another league like this before. I stand to win quite a bit of cash though if I win, so it's worth it.

    Braylon

I got issues at WR. I started the year with Burress, Jennings, Edwards and Crayton. Crayton crashed, we all know about Burress, and now Edwards is going to have Ken freaking Dorsey throwing to him. I could pick up a guy like Bruce, Toomer or Lance Moore off waivers. Should I bench Braylon, and if so, who should I pick up?
  7. I won thanks to Forte and A-Pete and clinched a playoff spot. Next week is a no-stress weekend. Then we have playoffs, 1st vs. 4th, 2nd vs. 3rd. I'm 4th.
  8. He is on the injured reserve already. #-o Yeah, brain cramp.
  9. I thought NFL Network said earlier Vasher would be out. Oh well.
  10. Nervous :scare: There needs to be an emoticon for hiding my head because I'm too nervous to watch.
  11. I know his trade value is highest now, but really trade Khabi? He's carrying this team.. Havlat I'm fine about. Why hasn't he been injured yet? I'm fine with trading Havlat because it seems to me he only gives his best effort every third game or so. He produces, but he's not meeting his potential. And, as you said, he's an injury waiting to happen.
  12. Huet is a bum. It's been obvious from the start this year. Tallon needs to answer for this.
  13. I was feeling pretty good about getting 17 points from Bironas yesterday, but then my opponent got 57 combined from Witten, Fitzgerald and Cowboys D. Yikes.
  14. Seemed like the Hawks had a dozen solid scoring chances tonight. They just didn't get any bounces. Oh well. Go get 'em tomorrow.
  15. I'm liking the afternoon games. It's gametime right now! Go Hawks!
  16. As others said, I would have loved to get another two points, but we're being greedy at this point. The Hawks obviously got destroyed in the first period and to be down only 1-0 was a testament to Khabi. As for the OT goal, Keith just had a lazy play. He failed to clear a puck at his feet and then let Thornton walk right in. Keith didn't play his best game last night, and for a guy who really needs to be our shutdown defenseman (with Campbell moving up so often), that sort of thing can't happen. Happy Thanksgiving everyone!
  17. Sounds fun. I have a night of cleaning house and preparing food items ahead of me. The late start is actually perfect. Gives me time to do all of my work. As long as I can stay awake.
  18. Sounds like somebody better call a WHHHHAAAAAAAAAmbulance for Mr. Kontiola. This is Exhibit 1 in "How not to get a call up." What a moron. Did he think nobody around the Hawks speaks Finnish? What, they don't still have Alpo sitting in a dark room translating the sports pages?
  19. Yes. Vikes special teams still suck. Gus Ferrotte still blows. Those are clearly the ways the Bears will win the game, if they win. They gotta keep Peterson in check. He has dominated the Bears so far in his 3 games. Gotta keep him under 100-110 ish. Gotta get turnovers and make big plays in the return/block game like last time. Yeah, the D and ST will need to create either scores (BEST!) or field position. Otherwise, the Bears O won't be able to keep up with A-Pete. I don't think that's any secret, but it hasn't been happening and if has to.
  20. It's crunch time now, folks. In one of my leagues, this is it for the regular season. I'm at 6-6 and in 7th place. Top six make the playoffs. So I need to win and have one of two other teams lose. Unfortunately they aren't playing each other. :) I need to choose between Harrison, Bruce, Toomer and Cotchery. Unfortunately, I need to play three of these. Who should sit? At RB, I have Thomas Jones (lock), Grant and Larry Johnson. I play two. In my other league, if I miss the playoffs I'll hurt myself. I'll need to lose the last two weeks and lose so big I lose the tiebreaker, which I currently hold by about 100 points. Thankfully, no position dilemmas with this team. Just gotta ride A-Pete and Forte.
  21. Accuweather's extended forecast for early that week is highs in the 20's and lows in the teens. For a night game, that won't be pleasant. But I don't think it will be cold enough to impact the game in a huge way. Any precision passing offense is going to be affected by that type of cold, especially an offense that plays half it's games in domes and 2 more in Florida and Carolina. Obviously I hope so. But on the other hand, Brees played at Purdue. This won't be his first experience in cold weather.

  23. And don't forget, while the Bears have lost to every NFC South team this year, they've had a late lead against every one of them and New Orleans is the most flawed of those teams. Is there any reason why Brees won't torch Vasher/Tillman as he did the better GB corners? He played that game in a dome and he'll play the Bears at night outdoors in Chicago during December. Plus, if Tommie Harris is awake that week he could make a huge difference. Yeah, I'm hoping it's bitterly cold that night, like that game against Atlanta a few years ago when Mr. Cell Block looked like his only desire was to get out of the cold as quickly as possible.
