  1. Sadly, if you offered me that right now, I'd probably take it.
  2. Now the guys look really tired. And yes, of course, Conklin looks like Patrick Roy now.
  3. Well dammit. The defense was running around for the last few minutes. Can't blame that one on Huet.
  4. HAHA Stuart tried to give Buff the business and he ended up on his can. Awesome. Nice pass on Zetterberg's goal, but again, Huet should have had it. Not a terribly difficult save to make.
  5. Great shift for the Adams-Fraser-Eager line there, especially Eager. Keep it up guys.
  6. I wouldn't count on that, but I do look forward to a lot more traffic in this thread once the playoff chase really gets going in February and March. Not to mention, dare I say, the playoffs. That was an outstanding period. I noticed very few shifts for the 4th line, and the top three groups never looked tired because the defense did their job and didn't allow any sustained pressure. Keith had an excellent period, and for the most part, so did Seabrook. I'll even give Huet credit for the two big saves he made at the end of the period.
  7. They are doing a good job of keeping the shifts short near the end of the period here. That's the key with a lead like this.
  8. I don't think you can really put any of those goals on Conklin like you can put the two Wings goals on Huet.
  9. WOW should have been 5-2 there. Walker played offense like a defenseman there.
  10. I wish I was getting Pat and Eddie, but I have to admit these Detroit guys are pretty good. Not homers at all.
  11. I guess you have to give credit to Huet for making a stink about it. You could have forgiven him for thinking he'd just let another one in.
  12. I don't think I've ever seen that happen before. I was about to start bagging on Huet again. :flame:
  13. Net lifted up? Oh yeah. Nice!
  14. We are CLEARLY the better team so far. The passing is exquisite. LADD has been great on the forecheck. Glad to see him get one.
  15. ? that was an unremarkable goal Um... down 2-0 (against the best team in the west, and MAYBE the NHL).... And they take the lead with 4 seconds left... Toews 2 goals in 3 minutes? i'm well aware how good Detroit is, but that's just a skills competition shot most skilled players can make. i'm baffled with 5 seconds the def didn't collapse on him It was a great shot. The angle to make that shot is ridiculously short. The puck glanced off the keeper's shoulder. Obviously it wasn't as special as his first goal tonight, but it was above average.
  16. Oh absolutely. I think first-round is more likely though. 7 vs. 2.
  17. I love watching these guys, and I'm pleased that they have the lead, but it should be 3-0.
  18. Watching goals like Toews' first one, it reminds me of watching Jordan. Clearly the best player on the ice, at least tonight. Against Detroit, that's saying something.
  19. We're not being outplayed at all here. Havlat had the best scoring chance so far. I think this is going to be one of his "max effort" games. Looks like we'll need it. Huet is just killing this team.
  20. Get that sorry SOB out of the game right now. God Huet sucks.
  21. Oh this sucks. There are two channels dedicated to this game on Center Ice on Directv. That's always one for each team's feed. But both appear to be the Detroit guys tonight. Bummer.
  22. Agreed. Turned down Blues tickets and bailing on a lame Christmas party, putting myself in mildly hot water with the soon-to-be wife in order to catch this one. DE-TROIT SUCKS!
  23. MLB.com has an article up saying announcement will be made today. Fingers crossed. Where do you see that? This is what I got from the MLB.com site: Wow, I'm a massive idiot. I've been traveling so much and been out of my office for several days and it feels like a Monday to me. Sorry.
  24. MLB.com has an article up saying announcement will be made today. Fingers crossed.
  25. I'll take this season over previous years because they are not putting themselves in a giant hole. They played excellent hockey down the stretch last year, especially at home, and still missed the playoffs because they sucked so bad early on. That's not going to be the case this year. I only got radio for Wednesday night's game, so I can't give an opinion on Huet. Wiedeman (sp?) sure thought he was better. Speaking of which, we are lucky to have Pat Foley back, but our radio guy is pretty good too.
