  1. He seems to be putting it exactly where he wants. That's what she said. I was going to laugh at that, then I saw who said it. Mind out of the gutter, young man.
  2. He seems to be putting it exactly where he wants. I'd like to see a few more here.
  3. I'm ready for baseball now. Seeing Sori and A-Ram crack a few was all it took.
  4. I was intently focused on the game as well (unlike the other patrons around me). I distinctly remember a play in the 2nd period where Khabibulin was infused by the soul of Patrick Roy and made AT LEAST 4 saves in a row. Another couple great double-save sequences as well from him. Also, Mason was incredible as usual. Hockey "novices" don't give a [expletive] about goaltending... they want to see hits and goals and fights, this fight had none of the above. Sucks when you can't back up what you tell them about hockey. My friends seemed to have a lot of appreciation for the goaltending on both sides. We also watched the Wild-Wangs game earlier in the day, and one of my friends was raving about Backstrom. He's a potential convert. :) I am going to be heading home from this trip on Tuesday, and will hopefully get home in time for the game. I expect a similar game to tonight. And that's good for the Hawks. Every playoff-type game they play from here on out will only help them in a few weeks.
  5. I watched the game with a few hockey novices, and they thought it was a pretty good game. It was boring, but there were good scoring chances. Most importantly, the boys got it done when it counted and put a stranglehold on the 4th seed.
  6. I suppose this doesn't belong here or in the NHL thread, so I'll put it here just cuz I feel like it: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b_X5FdpsWpg =D>
  7. San Jose couldn't help St. Louis tonight. And they didn't help themselves by beating Dallas. Tied again with Nashville, but they have the tiebreaker. This has been such a great race. Center Ice was a great purchase this year.
  8. Yes, yes it is. (Nice ML quote there) I'm really excited now. I want playoff hockey NOW! Here you go, =D> I had one of those when I was a little shaver. It had all the team logos around the boards. And it had the original Colorado franchise, the Rockies. I feel old.

  10. Playoff hockey! Finally! Thanks Rocky!
  11. I don't care what Burress did, I want him. That said, I know there is no chance it will happen.
  12. It's been almost 24 hours since I heard the news. I still can't believe this actually happened.
  13. How absolutely awesome would that be? I don't know if it was possible to line up on short notice, but leave it to McDonough. His press conference is at 5:00pm last til 6:00pm or so... then he has an hour and a half to make it from Halas Hall to the UC. As Soul said, I'm sure we'll be hearing his singing voice in a week or two as well. Oh yeah, no question about that. I'm probably going to miss most of tonight's game live due to other commitments. Since I travel so much, when I'm actually in town my wife wants to go out and do stuff. Imagine that. So I'll be watching on the DVR later tonight.

  15. Make that one fewer. The Wangs came back and tied the game at 4, and :36 later Backes got another one. What a game. 5-4 Blues now with a couple minutes left. They really need two points.
  16. honestly, that's how i feel too. and even then, i'm not that upset ;) I'm really happy with this because I won't sit around watching Mel Kiper yap for the first seven hours before the Bears would've made their first round pick.
  17. Wild one in Detroit. St. Louis went up 2-0, Detroit tied it, St. Louis immediately put up two more. Backes with a HT already (27, 28, 29 on the year). And he nearly got a piece of the last goal. I can't believe Backes has only two fewer goals than Toews.
  18. That was exactly my feelings as well. If this doesn't work, I think it goes without saying that Lovie/Angelo will be gone.
  19. Haha, yeah. Good luck with that. Though, they were 4-0-1 against the Hawks so far this year. Tomorrow they get Detroit, who they are 0-4-1 against. So maybe they'll finally beat Detroit.
  20. They [expletive] scored? Sonofabitch.
  21. I look forward to watching this one when I get home. Thanks St. Louis for setting us right again.
