  1. That was pretty. I thought Marty had roofed it.
  2. Bad defense right now. Too much open ice for Canucks.
  3. Good pressure, but man. They need to cash these in.
  4. Toews with some sick stickhandling. Hopefully Brouwer is okay.
  5. Blues now up 4-1 on C-bus late. Will be their 5th straight win. I'm still skeptical about their playoff chances because they only have one home game left and still have to play some tough road games (Detroit, Chicago). But they are on an impressive run.
  6. Keith didn't do his job there.
  7. And once again, the Columbus announcers embarassed themselves. They were shocked Oshie wasn't called for a penalty on that hit.
  8. Oh man Oshie just destroyed Nash again. Nash tried to hit him and ended up on his can. Awesome.

    Golf

Only on the 7th hole and Tiger has almost reeled in O'Hair. It has always surprised me how much other professional golfers are intimidated by playing with Woods. He's only up 1 now.
  10. Yeah, that's absurd. Maybe a 2-minute minor, but Eaton was falling down. That's what made the hit look so bad.
  11. Here is Oshie's hit, along with the Columbus announcers showing how stupid they are by claiming it was a dirty hit. Morons. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mwDgk4ooXIc
  12. It's about time I put up an avatar. Haven't had one since the 40oz. Colt 45 bottle I rocked awhile back. Big day of hockey. Nashville-Detroit and St. Louis-Columbus at 4:00, then the Hawks, then later Minnesota-Edmonton. I know what I'm doing today, and it has nothing to do with college basketball.
  13. Cheated on the Hawks last night to go see the Blues/Jackets game. What a game. Oshie absolutely annihilated Nash on a perfectly clean hit and is fast becoming one of my favorite non-Hawks in the league. Mason (Steve) got abused in the shootout by Boyes and Perron and the other Mason (Chris) did enough to bring the Blues into a tie for 8th with Edmonton. The second half of the home-and-home at 4:00 today should be a bruiser. The Blues FO looks pretty smart right now for not unloading Tkachuk and any other valuable parts at the deadline. Even if they don't get into the playoffs, they have had 28/41 sellouts so far this year and this run has most certainly increased interest and season-ticket renewals for next season.
  14. For the 4th seed it is. Win this one and put a stranglehold on it. I think they'll pull it out. They seem to be getting back to form. And last night Pahlsson finally seemed well enough to make a decent contribution. I'm pretty sure he even had a shot on goal!
  15. Intriguing. I noticed this though: Definitely sounds like knock-offs, but it's odd that a site that appears to be reputable is selling them.
  16. Haha, maybe the fella should've taken off his Flames t-shirt before the cops showed up: http://sports.espn.go.com/nhl/news/story?id=4020555
  17. As much as I love Versteeg, Mason is the clear ROY. Versteeg and Berglund can fight it out for second.
  18. Sucks for St. Louis that Nashville held on to beat the Sharks, but the Blues did their part and blitzed Vancouver 4-2. I'm starting to think maybe they can pull it off and sneak in.
  19. OHHHHHH shortie on the breakaway for Backes from Oshie! Oshie is on a freaking tear!
  20. I'm watching the Blues and the Nashville-SJ game. Oshie just tied it up with his submission for goal of the year. What a move he put on and amazing patience to get Luongo down.
  21. Despite having three PPs, St. Louis got dominated in the first. And wow, after falling down 2-0, Nashville has scored 3 unanswered in a hurry in the second. Nabokov's GAA is taking a hit the last few nights.
  22. This is an awfully expensive, but unfortunately probably the only, way to find out if baseball will actually fly in Miami. I'm thinking no.
  23. I don't really care about what seems like success vs. actualy success, and I don't really care what dress code they have. As long as employees are made perfectly clear on what is expected of them, they can be required to wear elf costumes to work for all I care.

Thanks for the heads-up. It's pretty sweet.
  25. Kind of backs up what redivycub says about him being a douchebag. He's all talk and show, with the no-casual dress nonsense. He is smart to say nobody is happy with where they are and that they are on their own 2 yard line, but it's all talk. Its smart marketing man talk, but it's largely meaningless. I think guys like him are almost douchebags by definition. It may be all "talk," but it's what makes him successful. Now, I'm not saying turning around the Hawks took a rocket scientist. It was pretty freaking obvious what needed to be done and he did it. But just the same, he's good at what he does.
