    Obviously I love Versteeg, but I think sometimes he is too interested in trying to make a spectacular move rather than making the sound play. Right now I'd rather he just not turn the puck over.

    Dude, I'm not going to argue with you about whether it's the proper pronunciation because you know a lot more about it than I do, but the fella who posted the other day about this has a point. If they've been saying it that way for years, in both Rockford and Chicago, someone must have told them all that's the way it's said. It may be a matter of him just pronouncing it differently than it spells or is normally pronounced. Like Ryan Smyth. He should pronounce it like Conn Smythe, but he doesn't.
