  1. He caught it with two hands, took a few steps, and then the ball clearly came out when his glove hit the wall. Who needs a telescopic camera lens? It seems pretty clear. He had already transferred the ball from his glove to his throwing hand. The ball was in his left hand when he hit the wall. There's no doubt about it. I have my doubts. He puts his hand in the glove, but after watching it repeatedly I don't see the ball in his bare hand on impact. It's unclear if it falls out of his glove or if it falls out of his hand. I can see it in his hand clearly as he hits the wall. Is there anyone here that can take the clip and slow it down a bit? Edited to add: If you look at his left hand when he falls to the ground, the ball is in it. The ball pops out of his hand when his hand hits the ground. Either way, it was a catch. If he transferred it to his hand, that's a catch. If he didn't, he took a few steps with control of the ball, so it's a catch. And by all reports, he's okay. So I think it's okay for us to discuss whether it was a catch or not.

  3. I finished college in 1999, luckily the Cubs,Bulls,Bears, and Blackhawks all sucked back then. I hope you can at least DVR the game? Yea I can but from 7:00 -10:00 someone is bound to blurt out the score no matter how nicely I ask them not too :-\ I just can't watch sporting events all the way through on my DVR. I will either end up hearing the score, or I'll just get impatient and fast-forward to the end. Especially with something like this. I would just need to know what happened immediately.
  4. I heard this morning on sports radio here that all scans and x-rays came back negative but that he stayed in the hospital overnight as a precaution. If that wall gets into his head now (not literally...again), is he going to drop every routine fly?
  5. It's game day, folks. Buff is getting a lot of pub right now. Saw an article on SI.com this morning, and Sassone gives us this: http://www.dailyherald.com/story/?id=291215&src=149 And from the other side: http://www.vancouversun.com/sports/Hawks+winger+weighs+series/1562750/story.html
  6. It's one thing to say you need to focus on your own play and not worry about the other guy. But to say you haven't even noticed him out there? Does Buff really even need bulletin board material at this point? If so, he's got it.
  7. I would agree, even though I'm not really be the biggest of Mayweather fans. I'd love to see Pacquiao end his unbeaten streak, but I think Mayweather is the one guy who might just beat him. It might also depend on how intense Mayweather's training actually is, since he's been sorta retired and hasn't really had anyone as impressive as Pacquiao to fight in quite some time. I'd like to see how he does against JMM after a 2 year layoff. Marquez is more than a tune up bout and if its a close victory for Mayweather I still see him ducking Pacquiao. Why come back if he's going to punk out and refuse to fight Pac-Man. Who else is there to fight that would bring him a payday like that fight would? The only possibility would be a rematch with DLH, and that's not going to happen for multiple reasons, perhaps the biggest being that nobody would pay for it.
  8. Nice, keep it going and keep the pressure on the Cards.
  9. Isn't it always a good AB by Hoff? Hasselhoff does have great abs, I agree. =D>
  10. I'm sure there's a beer league somewhere platooning Kevin Orie and Gary Scott.
  11. That sucks. My work trip to Chicago was cancelled and therefore I'm not going. At least I was patient this time and didn't buy a ticket right away.
  12. These guys are putting on quite a show. Unfortunately, I don't know if this series goes past five.
  13. Riot has 15 RBI. He had 38 all last season.
  14. He's going to be "randomly" tested very soon.
  15. http://www.chicagotribune.com/sports/hockey/blackhawks/chi-05-hawks-bits-chicagomay05,0,7477135.story Blackhawks have no excuse not to win the game then. Pretty much. I find their defense to be a bit overrated even with Salo, and frankly, their entire team is due to cool down a little. A lot, actually. They were playing over their heads for the last month. It's time for some reality.
  16. Owww, that'll ruin your day. It's Caps/Pens tonight and 24, then super-awesome Game 3 tomorrow.
  17. sell high? did you see what we got back for him? if you sell someone high, it's because you think you can get more back than he's worth. these don't look like prospects you get too excited about picking up. I saw that post and figured I better read through this thread before I posted this response.
  18. Boston just can't get their act together here.
  19. I think a Hawks/NHL Offseason thread would be sufficient.
  20. Cam Ward was just unconscious on that PK. Holy crap.
  21. Good. If the Hawks win and advance, I want whoever comes out of the other series to have to play as many games as possible.
  22. Wiz is playing a hell of a game for Anaheim. I figured Detroit would've gotten one by now. And Anaheim is still owed an OT power play.
