  1. They looked great in the 1st... couldn't capitalize and looked like it deflated them a bit... they'll get em on Thursday. They only looked great the first 7-8 minutes of the first. The rest was [expletive]. I don't even want to talk about that game.
  2. Really? What else is he going to do? He's getting paid a ridiculous amount of money, has already made millions, and all he is doing is rehabbing a shoulder injury that probably isn't even painful on a daily basis unless he's trying to throw a baseball. I'm not negative on the guy, but I don't admire him for doing what he's doing.
  3. That's all on Kane and his lazy ass.
  4. Well, it could be worse. Hell, it has been often.
  5. Did Kane just get called for a lazy stickcheck again?! Yup.
  6. All that crappy play in the defensive end was bound to lead to a chance like that.
  7. I thought I saw Sharpie start to lift his arms on that one.
  8. Now that's some [expletive] right there. Somebody has to pay for that.
  9. Announcer fella for Vs. just nailed it. Vancouver is bogging things down in the neutral zone pretty well, playing Minnesota hockey. Surprising, but they really must be intimidated by the Hawks' firepower. And Buff is all up in Willie Mitchell's head.
  10. Buff destroyed the Hair Puller!
  11. CSN blacked out. What a load of crap.
  12. Nice ESPN piece on Konstantinov in case anyone missed it: http://sports.espn.go.com/broadband/video/clip?id=4131301&categoryid=null
  13. According to the rule book: If you're able to transfer it to your throwing hand, that pretty much establishes secure possession. Hell, a lot of times we'll see an umpire credit a player with secure possession of the ball when they drop it during transfer (this typically happens when a player drops the ball while trying to turn a double play). Yea fair points... I need to see a full replay... just glad he's ok. You might not actually concede that the umps made the right call, would you?
  14. That's MF'ing right! Luckily I managed to get myself to focus on work and the last three hours have gone by really quickly. But if I go back and read the report I've been working on there may be scattered "Luongo sucks!" notes stuck in there. LET'S GO HAWKS!
  15. I'm glad the 'Hawks are pretty much the consensus preseason #1 already, but all those expectations make me nervous.
  16. What a great job by Marshall. Since Lou doesn't care whether they win or lose this game, at least Marshall got things under control and kept Lou from burning through the pen and hurting our chances the rest of the week.
  17. He is bad. It surprises me that WGN couldn't find some young pup to come in and do that job, like Provus or Masur. They wouldn't have to pay them squat. The chance alone at all that exposure would attract some of the best young talent, I would think.
  18. Yes, yes it is. Which is a bummer because I needed something interesting to get me through the afternoon. Does it affect Marshall's thought process at all to know he's got to pitch well with that crap lineup out there behind him?
  19. Day game after night game. Often means 2-1 game. Depending on the wind, I can see that today. I'll go with Cubs 2-1 since they have a better lineup with someone more capable of getting the big hit late.
