This is awesome. Usually for the STL games I have to watch on FSNMW, which means listening to Kelly-Panger-Federko. But the game is on NHLN, and they are carrying Pat and Eddie. This start, OTOH, is not awesome.

Caught the first two periods on the radio last night while driving up to Chicago, and John and Troy were flat-out lambasting this team for a lack of effort after they took the 2-0 lead. This game should have been a walk, but even now, with their season on the line, this team can't seem to put together a consistent effort. If they get in, and don't start playing like they did on that winning streak, Vancouver will eat them alive.

It's pretty much between the Hawks and Dallas now for that 8th spot. I will not have a good feeling going up against Vancouver in the first round, even if we have had their number. Though how awesome would it be to knock them out again. Cart before horse though. Gotta get two points tonight.

Exactly. Shooting was horrible. They didn't D up with any urgency in the first half, and when they finally did in the second half, couldn't cash it in. This only really sucks.

7th best record and the only reason they're 5 points back on the 4 spot is because of 3 games in hand I was gonna say that the good news is that they have games in hand over everyone ahead of them, but at the same time, i doubt any of them have a harder schedule down the stretch than us. 3 of our last 8 are against Detroit for instance. The games in hand might not mean as much. We'll see. Dallas seems to be fading. Thank God they lost tonight...if they had won, we'd be in a tie for 8th/9th in the West, and even in games. I think we have the second softest schedule now besides Nashville. All the other teams have to battle it out between each other and they all get the Sharks a combined 7 times or something like that. The Detroit games will be tough. I'm sure they want nothing more than to bury the Hawks and not have to worry about seeing them in late April or May.

Seems like tonight Kane and Toews really miss Sharp. They are just getting nothing going. Of course as I typed that they got a few good chances.

How many teams don't out-physical the Hawks? It's not like the Hawks have "bangers". I know, and it bugs me. But some games more than others it's more obvious.
