  1. I would imagine this type of injury could be no big deal (a few games) or really bad. Just don't know yet, and I doubt Q will be very forthcoming with the information. I suppose this would be an upper body injury?
  2. Another night, another win. Boring.
  3. CBC is talking about the increasing chances that the Coyotes will move back to Winnipeg. I really hope that happens. http://sports.espn.go.com/nhl/news/story?id=6185492 I didn't realize Atlanta has ownership issues too. Sounds like a good candidate for Quebec City.
  4. Haha, Hawks play like crap for the first 12 minutes of the 2nd period, and boom, Kopecky snipes like he's wearing 88 not 82. This is fun.
  5. I caught just a couple minutes of the KU radio feed late in the game, and they are carping about how horrible and inconsistent the officiating had been the entire game.
  6. Jesus, the thing is, they've whiffed on at least three other wide open nets. This keeper isn't long for this game.
  7. This is ridiculous. The CBC guys called them the Globetrotters. That's about the long and short of it these days.
  8. Hadn't even looked at how close they were to first until after last night's game. To even give Detroit a scare would be awesome. I love matchups like tonight's game. I don't really consider myself a purist, but when the Hawks play teams like Toronto and Montreal, it just seems like a big game.
  9. Like to see the toughness from guys like Dowell, Stalberg and even Brouwer these days. Starting to look like a postseason team.
  10. Carolina, thanks for playing, travel safe home.
  11. That's assuming the 2 and 3 seeds both win, remember, the NHL reseeds. Oh yeah, forgot about that. Damn, Toews is on fire.
  12. I was thinking on my drive to court this morning about potential playoff matchups, and how if the Hawks get #4 seed it would set up a second round matchup with, you guessed it, Bobby Lu and the Canucks. Again. Though I'm starting to wonder if they aren't better than us now. Like perhaps how a Pistons fan felt in 1991.
  13. That is crazy, especially for Phoenix.
  14. That seems high. They are a two-game losing streak from being back out again. But I suppose it calculates trends and expected wins and all sorts of other [expletive] I can't wrap my head around.
  15. The first tiebreaker is regulation + OT wins. SO wins are not included. That's all it was saying. It was enacted by the league to, in a small way, lessen the importance of SO wins. And I don't disagree.
  16. SWEEEEEETTTTT!
  17. That was too quick. Again, it seemed like as soon as they got that two-goal lead again, they slowed things down. In fairness, it sort of seemed like the Flames were packing it in too. [expletive].
  18. I wonder if Sutter regrets taking Kipper out.
  19. HUGE goal Bolland!
  20. Feels like it. As Pat and Eddie said, you could feel the letdown coming.
  21. Wow, how did that puck not go in. Not comfortable with this lead. They seem to be going through the motions right now.
  22. I thought Haugh was reaching a little on that MVP talk in today's Trib. Maybe not. What a horse. Eat [expletive] Calgary.
  23. This is a passing clinic. Another highlight reel goal.
  24. I feel like I've heard that rumor.
  25. Michael Frolik is a bigger garblemouth than Devin Hester.
