I did a while ago via eBay and received confirmation it was shipped and never got it. Notified the shipper and he said I’d have it within a couple of days. Never got it. I then reported the guy. Would love to have one, just never found a reputable seller.

I’m bummed to see Stroman struggle. Hopefully Smyly gives us a good push in the second half.

The only trade that bothers me is Q for Eloy/Cease. Theo & Co overvalued Q’s contract. Who else would they have traded for instead? Idk...the only one that jumps at me is Cole. I think Eloy will be much better than Soler.

That whole "it's so great that Quintana's cheap contract enabled us to get Darvish" conversation feels like a long time ago. This just isn't the same Quintana that I saw pitch for the Sox. Even when he's pitching ok hes super inefficient and doesn't go more than 6 innings. We built what we thought was a rotation of number 2 starters, when in actuality it feels like we built a rotation of number 4 starters. Quintana sucks. Not even sure if he was available, but would’ve rather had G Cole than this soft tossing lefty.

He has two options for cheap that keep him here through 2021. By then he’ll be 32ish, might just be best to let him go by then (Harper to 1B maybe?), Thats right...I totally missed the team options for 20 and 21.

Rizzo's signed through 2019 to an extremely team friendly contract and he's not giving them a discount next time around. If they don't extend him this offseason, its gonna be an annoying topic in the media all of next year. What is a 30+ HR power 1B entering his 30's worth (years/$)? Big picture, Cubs payroll is gonna get crazy the next few years just with the guys on the current roster.

Is J-Hey unfixable? In looking at bWAR, he finished 2015 with 6.6 WAR with StL and never posted below 3.5 the previous 3 years. He posted a 2.3 bWAR with the Cubs last year. At the time, it was still a good signing by the Cubs based on his age and success, but damn...he can't be this marginal for the rest of his contract. -
I think it certainly should be seriously considered. Bryce is the better player but Machado might be a better fit depending upon on how Russell finishes the year along with the other outfielders. Machado let’s you trade Russell for something useful presumably. Harper could force you to sell a guy off for the sake of it and not getting much back. Or say horsefeathers it and sign Machado, trade Russell+ pieces to dump Heywards salary (Russell, Monty and Heyward to someone?) and also sign Bryce. Sign Harper, trade Schwarber + Psycho Killer for Stroman. Ahhh....

Just think how bad it would be if Lester / Yu / Q went down for the year with an injury. We have next to nothing to fill in (Butler and Monty don’t count).

Yadi’s gotta hate when KB comes up to bat. KB fouled off the 2 pitches last year that sent Yadi to the bench with a concussion and then again last nights tip to the groin. KB once again demonstrating why he remains the MVP of the Cubs. -

Well it's probably still tied if they do.. Facing a guy on fire vs a lefty lefty matchup with a guy struggling makes too much sense Carpenter is the greatest hitter of all time with the bases loaded. Carpenter is a tool.

It’s a struggle to get Heyward to produce offensively, and when he does - he screws up defensively. Wtf.
