  1. I think this could be a huge steal by the Indians. Reyes looked real good the year he came up half way through the season. He had a rough year last year, but also I don't think he meshed well with Duncan. If hes even reasonably back to the 2 years ago guy he could be a mid rotation pitcher that they can ad to there rotation.
  2. He eventually will probably become a 40/40 guy. He's a stud and there is no chance anyone has the sources to trade for him. Right now, he's on pace for 37/37, so it's not much of a reach to think he could get 40/40 this year. yeah he's a stud hes a stud! and that's playing on a mediocre Florida team imagine his number out of that stadium.
  3. That's a start, but honestly we'd probably need a lot more. Hanely is probably the first person managers across the league would want to build there team around. I really don't think the cubs would have enough, but that definitely might at least get them thinking a little.
  4. Id trade AA team A team and like have the AAA team for him literally ha

  6. i think you guys are thinking of the manny ramirez who played like 3-5 years ago. this manny ramirez is a good hitter but not an elite hitter, and he's a brutal fielder. plus he's overpaid by a good amount given his overall level of production. True, but with those 4 players I dont see one of them even being his level right now let alone him in the past.
  7. not to sound like an ass and maybe i'm misremembering, but who on Earth is Castilla? He's probably talking about Castillo Isn't that the guy who took out the fan in the fight...Ha I'm not sure, but I don't know if the Blue Jays would want a nut job like that haha No, it's C Welington Castillo. Ha aight....I just saw that video that was crazy

  9. I would do that in a second!
  10. Yeah I thought The Brew Crews bullpen was bad, but man did we see the a worse one in that 4 game set.
  11. True, but Lawton was roided up that year and got caught during the off season the next year. So I don't know could be different.
  12. Well, I certainly think, or hope that he'll pick up another bat. Not sure who he can pick up with what we have available, but adding another stick would be good. I know I hate to bring it up, but adding a certain left fielder from Cincinnati!
  13. UGH!!!!!!!! This really worries me!
  14. I don't understand this position. If anything, we need help from the right side. Wood has been great, but he has a blister right now. Plus, he's still Kerry Wood. Who's to say that he won't break down? Right now, Marmol is one of the worst pitchers in baseball. Howry is Howry. Wuertz has been sent down in favor of Kevin Hart. Let's reflect for a moment on the magnitude of that sentence. Lieber has entered witness protection. Ha OK you got a point, but from the left side we all know that Cotts sucks and will in the long run. Eyre is good, but is on the DL and we need someone to fill in for him. I really think it's all in Marmol's head right now. He hopefully will bounce back!
  15. Why aren't we discussing more about getting him. I feel the only real move we need to make is a get another left handed set-up man. So Fuentes/Marte/Mahay should be our main priorities, but have they really said any rumors about them? just curious
  16. Am I the only one who thinks thats a terrible comparison? No you're not. And no I wouldn't make that trade. Neither would the Rockies, unless controlled by an XBOX with the no AI trade flag turned on. Ha I feel like most trades that all of us suggest on here are at least semi XBOX no trade in them haha
  17. I wouldn't want to release him or anything, but I sure wouldn't want to count on him contributing much the rest of the way. Anything he gives us is gravy, I guess. And his defense is scary bad. me either we'd just have a stacked left-handed bat off the bench and johnson for a righty is terrible
  18. Just to play the parlor game... The piece attributes the quote to an AL GM. I'm not one to obsess over the Southsiders, but I could see Kenny Williams saying something like that. Stoney's recent comments about Harden not pitching at the same velocity/ease could reflect what he's heard around the Sox org, i.e. hearing directly or indirectly Kenny badmouthing Harden's health. Plus the reference to hearing what Piniella wanted (not that you'd have to be in Chitown to have "heard" that), I could see Kenny telling himself that as a way of reassuring himself about standing pat before the deadline, as in "I'm strong enough to run my ship, and not let my manager dictate irrational deals." Well it makes sense because he was the last person to see Harden when he was an A...the same start when people speculated his velocity was down and probably his worst overall start of the season. Yeah OK that's true, but kind of off subject going with what I said about the them being bitter. Why is it for the last two years at Wrigley that he has to make fun of the stadium and locker room? I feel like when they won the World Series and were doing better he wasn't talking about it and ever since last year that its the first thing he says when he get there. I know that was off subject sorry, but I never understood that
  19. That is insane! He plays the easiest position in baseball and he's not even playing well this year!
  20. Ha if it would be at all possible I would take that in a second! On there other hand would you have Fuku playing Center? If so that would be an awful fielding outfield. Would Edmonds and Johnson be off the bench?

I definitely agree. This totally sounds like a Kenny thing to say. I really can't stand when the Cubs are doing well and Kenny or Ozzie get bitter and down talks us
  22. sign me up for Griffey if we don't have to give up a ridiculous amount to get him. He'd look wonderful at the five spot moving Fuku to two. Is there any talk of him actually being traded or was it just a topic?
  23. he gets reactivated goes hitless and makes a horrible read on a ball and costs us the game today basically. Good come back game haha :rotfl:
  24. To get Dunn the Cubs have to move Soriano or Fukudome to CF. Can Griffey still play CF? Griffey can barely play RF. Griffey is my favorite player of all time and has been since I was like 5. I'd take him in a second if were not giving up much and much Fukudome to CF if needed.
