  1. I don't care anymore.
  2. Great post! I feel that Lou is still in Spring Traning mode, testing all these outfields spots and lineups. Thanks. That's how I feel. This team keeps on Losing. And Lou needs to do something to wake this team up. If Lou and Hendry keep sitting on their hands and not do a few things to "SHAKE THEM UP!" Then I blame them when the Cubs continue to struggle.
  3. We're cursed. That's it. I give up. Only the Cubs get a guy who says walks clog the bases and you need to go out there looking to get a hit. And then talks up a player with great OBP AFTER he is gone. ::hangs self::
  4. Look at all of our OFFENSE!!! We have an offensive team, that's for sure.
  5. FUNDAMENTALS! Yeah exactly. Don't make mistakes on the field. But also, this team needs to pitch and play like their life depended on it when they have a 1 run lead. And also when they have to catch UP to a 1 run lead. They are just not doing that. As soon as the Cards got 2 runs, I said to my friends "Now watch the cubs bend over and take it up the. ." Oh, I had no doubt the game was over. We never come back, if we do we give it back the next inning. That's the frustrating thing. We NEVER come back and we NEVER (almost) hold a small lead. Even I thought we were so much better this year due to talent. But we are still miserable failures. Man I am so depressed.

  7. This whole teams needs to be cleaned up and add some stability. Send Cedeno down to open up a spot for Cherry or another pitcher. Trade Jones to make room for Pie and go with Soriano LF, Pie CF, Floyd/Murton RF. This constant shifting around is PART of the problem. We need some stability and we need to try to "set" a certain outfeild and send the player down that are playing like absolute crap (cedeno). Lou said players that are not producing will be benched. Well it's time for him to prove it by asking hendry to send Cedeno down for a RP. That should be Lou's first move, and soon.
  8. Didn't catch too much of the early part. But for heaven's sake. Doesn't it seem like it's always ONE or TWO guys in every game they loose that is doing something to SCREW the team? Whether it's Zambrano giving up 5 in the 6th. Eyre giving up 3 and not able to hold a lead. Murton having brain farts over at 3rd and not taking an EASY run at home. Cedeno being a dumbo and sliding over a damn base after a walk. I mean, MY GOD, I am tired of this ####!! This is BAD BASEBALL. It's exactly why the cubs are loosing close games and that the only way they can win is if they put up ten runs on the board.
  9. But if we won that would be 2 in a row... DOES NOT COMPUTE! COMPUTING would be good!! I want to COMPUTE!
  10. Walks are bad, Carlos is good. He has the ability to walk a lot of people and still be extremely successful. It's a problem, but he'll be just fine. It's the fact that he walks so many that he racks up such high pitch counts. If he walks do not improve (atleast a little bit) from last year, then he will consistantly be leaving earlier in games and not being able to go 6-7 innings. And that kind of hurts your team in a small way. As well as putting more strain on himself. The question is, how much of a "horse" is he really. How much can his body keep taking. I'm not saying he's gonna be terrible. I'm just saying he has to cut back on his walks a little bit. Nobody is arguing that it's good that he walks a bunch of people. Everyone knows it's bad. It's terrible. The stories of his demise are greatly exaggerated. What stories of his demise?
  11. One more for you sir. C'mon, you were the one who spewed out a terrible joke. Right, I put myself down so you didn't have to. No need to make me feel worse!
  12. If we can win this game, I certainly could start to get more positive about our cubbies.
  13. One more for you sir.
  14. His name's Hill. What do ya expect? The man was meant to be on the mound.
  15. I'd give the face a D-. A sexy body doesn't negate an average face. There are some fat girls that have such beautiful face features that would be just drop dead gorgeous if they lost weight. If this girl ever got fat. You couldn't tell her, "well, you've got a pretty face".
  16. That report from Roto and Carp's comments. Sound all too familiar to another 2 oft injured cubs pitchers. I'm not trying to state any facts. Just that report and comments reminded me of our heartache going through that to such promising pitchers.
  17. while I can understand if you loved him as a prospect a year ago, you're demented if he was your favorite cub a year ago. totally bonkers with a 0.28 ERA, 0.64 WHIP, 8.4:1 K:BB (that was a comment on Piniella skipping him, btw) You mean because of his struggles? Many of us stood by his side defending him. Even during the struggles. .
  18. with a 0.28 ERA, 0.64 WHIP, 8.4:1 K:BB  They'd have to call all future Cy Youngs the "Rich Hill" award. haha ha.
  19. :x Sorry. Sue me.
  20. Walks are bad, Carlos is good. He has the ability to walk a lot of people and still be extremely successful. It's a problem, but he'll be just fine. if his bb/9 is 2006 was an aberration, i think he will be fine. if it isn't, then he is going to have a hard time. Yeah that's what I was trying to say. If his walks don't go down. . . Even a pitcher with the best "stuff" in baseball can't continue to escape trouble if his walks go up even more than Z had last year.
  21. I don't know. I think the 2 teams will "step up" against eachother.
  22. Josh Hamilton. David Arquette. Kermit the Fog.

  24. I'm deffinatly not the one who has said that. I think the only thing I'm arguing with Zambrano is, that he is going to get worse overall (while still having crazy stuff I admit) if he does not work on those walks, and soon.
