    Um, I had no problem rooting for him and I have been since the day he put on that uniform. As long as a guy genuinely wants to play for the Cubs I welcome him as a fan no matter what things he's said in the past.

    so what's the rules? Are my starts over? Or do I start again ones my spot starter's streak is over?

    If the Cubbies win it's ok for a spot starter to start for me incase I stay overnight at chicago and have no access to a computer.

    Meh, I SO wanted to see Bob and Len switch facial hair. Blah. So oh well, on to a new winning streak! With Demp going I feel confident. I am going to Chicago tommorow so sorry for the quick game thread without pics. but. DEMP 7-2 (2.75 ERA) vs. Billingsley 4-6 (3.29 ERA) GO CUBBIES! I'll be at shed but watching in spirit.

    I hope Edmonds plays today because I heart Edmonds. Yuck. (I just threw up in my mouth a little).

    While I'm nowhere near ready to claim the Cubs are having success with the Edmonds reclamation project, how awesome would it be to actually be the team that has the coaches that pull stuff like this off now and then? I heart Gerald Perry. Yeah it's about time we catch some lightning in a bottle and have all the cards fans complaining we have some magic pixie dust.

    If Edmonds of all people, starts hitting well for the CUBS. That's it, I'll go out of my shell and just say it, the cubs are winning the world series this year.

    Lance Briggs accidentally got a few notes correct. Tony Romo did not get one single note right.

    You know what else would make him a friend in alot of people books.......if he is actually productive on the field. Otheriwse, we're looking at a possible white Jacques Jones situation..... Well that's what I'm hoping for. If he helps us, then I'm a fan. All I care about is wining.

    I'm excited only because I love when we get new players in the middle of the season. Yes I can already hear the replies in my head. But it's low risk and Lou will NOT stick with him for too long if he doesn't find his stroke (<- that's a joke right there I beat you to it by noting it, so don't even try) I for one, as long as Edmonds behaves himself, will welcome him as a Cub. Hey, anyone who wants to stick it to the cards (<- that's a joke too so don't try it here either), is a friend in my book. :thumbsup:

    or for that weird dazed feeling you get that you are not quite sure if you are still sleeping? I think that's what will happen to me if JE comes up to bat for the Cubs.

    I certainly could get over my dislike of Edmonds if he can help the Cubs in some small way. I don't hate any player THAT much. To answer the question to whoever asked he's always had something bad to say about the Cubs it seems, that's where alot of the dislike comes from. If it weren't for "revenge like motives" he probably would not want to come here. The Enemy of my Enemy creates a new friend. LOL.

    Maybe they should force him to use the visiting clubhouse so he would have to suffer through not having any hot water. Then would you be happy? How about if Cubs fans booed him every time he took the field or batted and pockets of fans really did wear big fake eyelashes or something offensive like that with an edmonds jersey on.

    I can see it only if he's still on the "giving a messege to the rest of the bullpen" shtick. We have been blowing lately and I can understand it today if only to have a quick 9th and get a new winning streak going, and at the same time sending a subcontious messege to most of the bullpen. I'm not too upset about Marmol's workload lately.

    In the extended post game they said he pitched something like 4 innings in the last 2 weeks. That might not be accurate but it was something like that. All I know is it sounds like he is not being abused and was in just to get an inning of work in and keep him fresh. Yet you guys think he's being overworked? Why.

    He's got a ways to catch Cedeno's .957. doesn't matter... you don't bench a guy OPS'ing .893. But you bench the guy who's OPS'ing .957?
