    Under your scenerion Hendry would HAVE to sign both Soriano and Lee and one of the big name free agent pitchers. And seeing as I have no confidence in Hendry ability to judge the free agency market, I seriously doubt the Cubs will be any better next yr, and in fact, it wouldn't surprise me if they are WORSE next yr. Agreed. How?

And seeing as I have no confidence in Hendry ability to judge the free agency market, I seriously doubt the Cubs will be any better next yr, and in fact, it wouldn't surprise me if they are WORSE next yr. I honestly don't see how adding Soriano to 2B and getting a #2 and #3 starter via trades all that impossible to do, and how it wouldn't greatly improve the Cubs next year. Hendry has already shored up the bullpen last off-season. Now he just needs to add another bat and add a couple very good pitchers and use the best of the rookies to fill out the rotation. .

    :lol: I was asking Fred what their record was. It was just a reference to how wet it is right now. Sorry to dissapoint you by not having a huge punchline. :P But RichHill dude beat me too it. Oops !! :oops: Sorry, I missed my cue there. Seems to me, the CUBS are 54-76 when they are NOT all slip slidin' around, eh? :lol: well done. And probably 0-1 when they are all slip slidding around the field.

    According to medical reports, Lee is completely healed. If it's really true, then that's good. I hope Lee can do well, and be ok.

    Me too. Add me to that list. I hope hill contines to prove me right. BWAHAHAAha. Go ahead and gloat because you earned that right but be sure to readily admit when you are wrong. Sure will. I'll remind you all a little later if Hill continues his success. Because quite frankly, I have been dissapointed in the crow eating so far. It's been very weak. :twisted:

    If we are gonna get Soriano, you have enough power in that line-up to afford Matt Murton's patience, and possible + .350 OBP in LF. But if the Tribune decides to open their wallet and get those players, PLUS a nice #2 SP, then I'm not gonna argue. :) By the way, MY sp would be. Zambrano Zito Marshall #4 (take your pick) Hill Putting Prior in the BP? Trading him? Uh. On the DL people? Heard of it? That's where I'll have Prior.

    Hill's deffinatly looking to have some promise. Don't you think? What's your thoughts on Rich Hill right now. I went to great america today, only to check and find out Hill pitched pretty darn well today. I look foward to every Hill start, because this kids got promise. Well atleast to be in or SR next year as a #5 atleast.

    Pierre is going to get a multi-year contract offer from someone. I hope it isn't the Cubs. If he accepts arby and plays here one more year, then I'm fine with him sticking around. But I really don't want him signed to a multi-season deal. So offer arb, or sign for 3-years. I mean if he does good next year (which I beleive he will). . Offer him a decent offer nothing like 9mil a year. More like a slight raise. From interviews he has always said he loves playing for the Cubs. So he should accept it. And it wouldn't be that hard to trade a 2 year contract of a speedy lead-off hitter who is hitting well.

    I want Pierre next year. Let's see how good Pie can do a full year next year at AAA. Don't rush him up next year. Just let him get better and even more confidence at AAA.

    I just want to really see Hill and Murton as starters next year. With Cedeno replaced with someone better. I like Marshall as well. That is all.
